you want better battery life? because thats how you get more battery life.
Many of us prioritize thinness over battery life.

Yep, & maybe waited until the 5.4" next year.I should have just bought a new battery for the 6S.
I think it’s funny that many are touting the camera. After the initial wow, so what? For good pics I have a real camera. What I need is a phone I can carry all day without feeling like I have a dead weight in my pocket. Many of us have other things to carry, you know? Wallet. Keys. Change. Etc. Add a fat, thick, heavy phone to that. Lol
How about a smartphone for working people with real concerns other than the latest Apple gadget?
What were you expecting? It's a phone, of course it does the same things. If you prefer the older form factor then I think iPhone 8 is still available to purchase new.
Yes, exactly. It is my opinion. But it is not a problem, it is a good thing. That's the problem. It's based on your opinion.
Exactly. As I said earlier, the 6S was amazing. That is when I really started using my iPhone for business instead of always carrying around my iPad. It was a totally different experience than the 4 I had before it. Now I feel like I just have a brickier 6S.I’ve said this before - from the 4-6 generation, you added real, significant new use cases to smartphones.
Don't insult me by calling me a troll when it is you who is speaking out of ignorance. This has to be a troll thread.
You have been running your heart and soul, your entire passion in life with an iPhone 6S that has to be charged 5-7 times a day and balk at something that not only is far superior technology wise but also greatly improves productivity? I can’t fathom working so closely with a device that has such limitations (5-7 times a day charging) but rely on for everything. Your complaint is the weight? Misconception of screen real estate?
Either this is a troll thread or you have no desire to expand your business.
Yes, exactly. It is my opinion. But it is not a problem, it is a good thing.
I go to internet forums to get other people's opinions all the time. I find it crazy that people like you are constantly out there trying to shut down other people's opinions.

Running a company on a 4.7" screen sounds like a nightmare.I use my iPhone for both personal use and business. I essentially run my company off of it. I do estimates and invoices, collect payment, schedule, take nots, pictures, email customer, do calculations, etc. etc.
I have been using an iPhone 6S for the last 4 years. I changed the battery out a little over a year ago, but it just got terrible. Recently I had to charge it 5-7 times per day. I noticed it getting slightly slower with some apps, so I figured it was time to upgrade.
One of the things I was looking forward to is the new screen, bigger screen means more real estate, right?
So I spent the day playing with my new iPhone 11. I set everything up and used everything the way I normally would. In the end, I am not impressed. It's good, everything works, but it's just not much different than the 6S, at least not in better ways.
It's a lot heavier. It's larger. It's thicker. It's bulky. I would forget those if the size of the screen was good, but it's just not doing anything for me. In most situations it's just like an "old man version" of the iPhone, meaning the same exact thing is on the screen, everything is just larger.
I still have 4 app thumbnails across and 6 down. Almost all apps still show the exact same thing, they just show it bigger.
In some instances, like browsing the web, I get fit more onto the page. That does help a little bit.
In the end, I needed the upgrade, but I am not impressed. Most of the big changes don't apply to me, I'm not a photographer and don't care much about the pictures since the ones on the 6S were fine. The changes that do help me are cancelled out by the negatives (mainly the bulkiness and weight). I should have just bought a new battery for the 6S.
That's just my honest opinion, worth what you paid for it.
I’ve said this before - from the 4-6 generation, you added real, significant new use cases to smartphones. Apple Pay is a great example. Biometric unlocking (Touch ID) eliminating the need for passwords. Screens growing significantly, allowing for more work to be done. Also during that time, many game changing apps (Uber) debuted. Since the 6S, there have been almost no use cases added to any smartphone. The platform has matured.
Apple has significant innovated in the iPad and the Watch in recent years though.
Double the weight 80% more battery life, bigger screen etc etc. What do you mean by recent iPhones? If you compare the 6s to the Pro, it literally feels like double the weight. If you compare the X, of course it's not going to be much different...
It's my opinion that nowadays, the only good reason to get a newer iPhone is because the old one you've got either is waaaay too slow or won't run the apps/software you want or it no longer works or was lost.
In this case, the only iPhone worth considering upgrading is the iPhone 6 since it won't run iOS 13 (if that matters),and it's kind of laggy.
On the other hand, the max was an awesome upgrade from the 6s. Face id is amazing. Call quality is amazing. The speakers are amazing. Battery life is amazing. The camera is amazing (although now bested by the iphone 11).Yup. Apple has gone downhill since the 6. Bigger, fatter, heavier means worse, worse, and worse for people that actually need a phone to carry around in normal pants.
So far as I’m concerned, Apple products have failed for the past 5 years or so. Same stuff, fatter and heavier shells.
Face ID is really annoying, too. The bezels are of course useful for holding the phone.
You can save a lot of money by just saying no to Apple hype. They’ve lost their way, making phones for, well, I don’t know who. At my office I see very few of the newer, fatter, heavier models, and I always pity the few that I do see.
And you know the saddest thing of all? The 6 and 6s models had the best sounding phone call quality of them all. On later models, people I called often complained of poor sound.
Headphone jack: still need it, too.
