Does this method let you reserve a verizon or sprint model for pickup without the need for a carrier account?

Nope. When I try ordering Verizon as carrier, the app won’t let me add phone to bag. Instead the app brings up screen asking for info so it can confirm that I have Verizon account.

Great tip! I canceled my November 17-24 pre-orders this morning and placed two new in-store pickup orders. Heading to pick them up at 2:30 this afternoon!

Unless you absolutely cannot make it to an Apple store, why would anyone pre-order? I regret doing so. Thankfully they hadn't charged my card yet so I could easily cancel them.

it wouldn't let me cancel my wife's at first. Somehow I was able to get it to cancel though. it took a good 15 minutes or so for Apple to release the order completely so I could place a new order. I was sweating for a bit.

There was more stock this morning after local stores completely sold out again yesterday.

There was a decent amount of stock yesterday, but not today. Either Apple was holding back to make demand appear more solid than it is, or they made a lot more units for launch then people thought.
