No, that's an abuse of power, using your position for personal gain. If it's a real issue that adversely affects your constituents then you address it as a senator. What he did shows his character to be of very low integrity and people should probably consider that when voting.

I think the OP should get back to work and leave the US Senator to do his thing.

Besides the fact that the original post was a waste of space to begin with, it never should have been created in it's own thread. The OP could have tried to generate laughs in the original Schumer thread.

You realize that you'll get a better chance of him reading it if you actually send it to him, right? If you're really a constituent of his, call the DC office, they'll listen.
