Any word on the hard drive capacity? My 64 GB iPhone 4s ran out of space so long ago, hoping for a 128/256/512 capacity!

They'll probably just shift it slightly to 32, 64, & 128GB options and get rid of the 16gb on everything but the budget last-year's model (iPhone 5). That is, IF they do it at all. I have a feeling it'll happen as storage options for iPhone have been stagnant for a while and they added the 128gb option to the iPad.

I agree that the 5S won't have a larger screen. I'll even go so far as to say they needn't have bothered with stretching the screen in the first place. Even after all this time, it just looks out of proportion and makes nothing larger, which is what you want out of a larger screen.

Exactly. All you get is another row of icons and more room in landscape mode. If they go larger for the iphone 6 or whatever hope they dont just stretch it again.

What I loathe most about the fingerprint sensor shtick is that any of those analysts gives a reason to actually include one except for featuritis. A GS4 can probably unlock if you make googly eyes, yet a fingerprint sensor isn't the answer to that. Nor is it a necessarity to replace MasterCard SecureCode with it.

!

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer the iPhone 4's glass back casing. It's just so much more elegant and gives the phone a luxurious feel. The back casing on the iPhone 5 is just horrid and scratches copper. Everything else about the new iPhone is great, the screen, the headphone jack, etc., but I hope they do something about the back casing soon. The glass on the iPhone 4 isn't even as fragile as people think.

This may look "cool" now, but just wait till we get finger print forgery schemes. This will be next,.

The technology is upon us.

Same screen size? Until they make the screen larger and wider I'll not be getting another iPhone. I'll stick with the 5. You'd think they'd make a few of them in different sizes and release them at once. Such BS! Makes me consider Android... *cold shiver*

The rules of business.

1. Find out what people want.
2. Give it to them.

1.Fin out what people need.
2.Give it to them.

People sometimes, dont know what they want and what they need. They just want more of the same. Do you think 50 milion people knew they want a tablet before they buy an iPad. Well, no. Apple showed them what they need, and now they cant imagine their life without it.

The "stretched" screen was simply a move to 16x9

It was no accident that those extra pixels in height made it exactly 16x9

Now that the iPhone and iPod Touch reached 16x9... it will likely stay that way for a while.

Then they can make it bigger :)

Well, I'll be converting to the Galaxy S 4 and putting my iPhone 5 up on ebay.

The tech that Apple bought is significant when it comes to fingerprint recognition. It reads subcutaneously, can differentiate between live and dead finger, filters out minor cuts and abrasions as well as fingerprint "fading" AND can read through plastic...

Not going to be easy to forge.

Apples hardware is fine and i have faith in iOS7 so i just pulled the trigger on a black 64GB iPhone 5. This should keep me out of trouble for the next 1.5 years
I cannot be bothered waiting for a spec bump. I'm not a slave to release cycles anymore:D

Cheers Paul

At the end of the day, everything Apple sells is a "want", not a "need" for the majority of their consumers.

Well, at least I won't have to worry about my iPhone being unlocked with my dead or severed finger. The baddies will need me alive and well to get my too secret data. And they won't start cutting fingers off one by one if I don't tell them which finger I used for the pass code!

Gonna skip the iPhone 5s and keep using my Lumia 920. I will wait for the iPhone 6, but if the screensize remains the same then I will skip the 6 series altogether as well.

I may try the Galaxy S4 next time for a change, it will be interesting to see what Apple comes up with though

Why are these same rumours being posted over and over again? Just because they came from a different source doesnt mean you have to post them yet again.

As for the iPhone 5S, it will be the first iPhone I will probably skip. I have the 5 now and I have an S4 coming at the end of the month.

I plan to dual wield the two for a bit though, I get a sneaky feeling that the cheap plastic, ugly design, naff touchwiz, and horrible S Apps will be enough to push me firmly back to the iPhone 5 soon enough.

Given that the stretched iPhone 5 and small screen iPhone 4 made the company richest in the world with 100 billion in bank, I think they would stick to what made them that successful and it aint a bigger screen. Its a great quality, great OS and seamless integration. Screen size is not even that important.

Worked for BlackBerry!

Why do people want a bigger screen? If the iPhone got any bigger I would either not upgrade or move to a different phone. I understand the 4" screen but much bigger and I lose functionality. I need something that fits in my hand comfortably and also in my pocket. I wouldn't want a phone I couldn't carry around comfortably. Maybe I am in the minority maybe not but just my two cents about this. Also I would love to see apple make a cheaper iPhone what ever it turns out to be and get rid of the 4/4s models.

I think you don't understand either iPhones or Blackberry. Blackberry didn't tank because of their screen sizes and Apple didn't become No 1 smartphone company in the world because of their screen size

No one "needs" an iPhone. There is a difference between predicting what people will "want" and taking a gamble by innovating, and making a product that you know for a fact a good percentage of them "want" because they are screaming it at you and refusing to give it to them.

It's as stupid as not making a two button mouse "just because".

No, they'll wait until consumers are foaming at the mouth for it then they'll release it and make a killing.
They made an iPad mini. Why not a larger iPhone?
