"Analyst" and "crazy" in one sentence (headline) ... that pretty much sums it up - good choice of headline.
Peter Misek has been frequently incorrect with his predictions, but occasionally, one of his reports is accurate. He was one of the first analysts to point towards early iPhone 6 prototypes in a 4.8-inch size
4" OLED iPhone that unfolds into an iPad mini ... really? lol![]()
Would apple really get into the TV game?
what? i didnt realize this iPad Mini could fold into an iphone. I'll try it out and report back!
An iPhone that folds out into a 4K MacBook Air including built in Apple TV with touch screen and voice commands? Can't wait!!!
Perhaps they'll really 'think different' and produce what the world really needs: a 'dumb TV' with a nice screen, a decent sound system, about 10 HDMI sockets, maybe some USB ports for power only, a minimal remote with an input selector and cursor pads and nothing else - not even a tuner.
Then you can proceed to plug in your PVR, your Apple TV, your ChromeCast, your NowTV adapter, your whatever-the-Amazon-thing-is-called, your cable box, your Mac and whatever else you need to actually access all of the dog's breakfast of incompatible and overlapping services that are out there.
Or, you could buy a smart TV who's smart features will be obsolete and unsupported, with no upgrades, within 6 months of buying the TV.
We can but dream...
I'm sure it will. Unfolding it afterwards might be a problem, though![]()
I know the iTV has been a rumor for a long time. Would apple really get into the TV game? It just seems like they would charge such a ridiculous price that sales would be few and far between. If a 65" 4K tv goes for $4,000, apple would want $6-7. I think taking over the living room via ATV is the smart move. The same thing they have been doing.
And why exactly would Apple give the experimental prototypes to suppliers?
