Anchor is now up for purchase in Cydia, so far no issues with it. *fingerscrossed

Conflicts with Mobius, which is a tweak that allows you to scroll your homescreens infinitely. I.e., when you get to the end it wraps around to the first one.

With Mobius installed Anchor only gives you two homescreens and keeps shifting between them.

EDIT: Maybe Anchor is using some sort of alternate springboard icon file because I install it and the majority of my apps and folders disappear from my springboard. Uninstall and they come back.

Now of course, all my iBlanks are deleted and icons are outside of folders, so I get to put everything back the way it was before I installed Anchor. Yay! :(

Hmmm maybe thats why its only supporting two pages, i havent checked to see how much ram its consuming but maybe it crashes when there were more than 2 pages

Don't know who you were speaking to, so I will answer.

Anchor has yet to be updated. Since there's no update there is no chance that this has been fixed. So, in my case, I uninstalled it.

I still have a mess on my springboard. Just have not gotten around to fixing things back up.

Speaking to anyone, just checking. It could be resolved without an update if it turned out to be a conflict with another tweak or something.

That's very true.

But I have many tweaks installed and while the concept of Anchor (and Gridlock) is great, I'm not willing to go through all of them to find the conflict – if there is one.

It would take me far less time to fix the icons on my springboard using iBlanks. :)

Haha, I know how that is:D.

Installed Anchor last evening. I have 3 homescreens and no problems there. But it did mysteriously ditch one of my folders on the 3rd homescreen.

Worst is the crashing to safe-mode. Had to uninstall it.

I have a fairly limited number of Cydia apps installed and most are big-name common apps, but don't want to take the time to identify a conflicting app...if that's the issue.

Action Menu
Activator
Alkaline
CameraTweak 3 (iOS 8)
ColorBadges
CyDelete8 (iOS 7 and 8)
Cydia Substrate
EqualizerEverywhere
f.lux
FlipControlCenter
Flipswitch
libstatusbar
PandoraSkips
Photo Info
PwnTunes for iOS 8
Remote Messages (iOS 8)
Safari Downloader+
Springtomize 3 (iOS 7 & 8)
StatusModifier
Zeppelin

Anyone know if Anchor has seen an update yet? I miss Gridlock so so so very much and Anchor looks to be about the same the way it works, but reading people with re-springs and only working on 2 pages, I just don't want to go there until the kinks are worked out given 8.1.3 is out and a restore means no more jailbreak if something goes horribly wrong.

I haven't checked this morning yet. However, you can put a track on it without having it installed.

Just find it in Cydia and change the package options so you get notified of a change even if it's not installed.

Interesting, I had no idea that feature existed. Wow, that's cool. See I wish Apple thought like that. Thanks for teaching me something new today, I appreciate it.

I did download and test it on my iPad and it seems to work fine, so not sure the bugs people have reported on here, but on my iPad it seems to work precisely like the old Gridlock did in iOS 7.

No idea why it's all weird. My guess is the dev is using alternate Springboard icon files. The first time I installed it my Apple apps disappeared. After a restart it was only the Apple apps I could find! Uninstalling brought everything back but out of order.

So I would guess too that if this is the case (alternate springboard icon files) the originals are not backed up for a potential uninstall.

Has anyone been running Anchor with little / no issue ?

They updated it yesterday and the problems reported in this thread have been fixed. The dev says there is another fix coming for other stuff but he rushed out this fix first.

Sure! There was also another update. Just checked. Don't know what that one fixed as Cydia was doing it's stupid thing of refusing to load anything beyond the package description.

Just checked and it's the same for me.

After using GridLock a time ago I'm pretty drawn to this tweak. #

Yeah, me too. iBlanks are useful, but I hate having to use them.

Bought this day one, but only reinstalled it the other day when that first update came.

Would love some help in figuring this out. The icons do not stay where I put them. They are very far apart. Not sure what the settings are for in phone settings. Just shows me a bunch of spread out icons. What's the point of this App?

Help?

The point is to let you place your icons anywhere on the screen you want (within the grid system).

Stock iPhones will place the first icon on a page in the top left, and the rest to the right and below as more icons are added to the page.

Anchor (like Gridlock) will let you put your icons anywhere.

I happen to have a tweak that gives me 5 icons on my sprinboard pages so I get five positions instead of the stock four.

If your layout is really messed up you may have a tweak conflicting with Anchor.

Now I can't use Anchor at all. My phone rebooted out of jailbreak. I had to uninstall Anchor and reboot and got it back. Just to make sure I repeated it twice. Same results. What crap.

mine is working fine, dev released 2 updates in the last 48 hours. a few days ago all of my home screen icons disappeared, i used spotlight to get into settings-> anchor-> reset all pages, and they came back. first update of the last 2 caused my phone to reboot into safe mode, released another update and it works fine now.
