I'm not supporting linux2mac overall (I haven't read nor have I attempted to verify all of his information), but you can't ignore the fact that you've been free with absurd accusations and personal attacks.

BTW, while the Samsung Galaxy S 4G was free for me, it's hardly the low end of the phones out there, and the iPhone isn't $600-800 if you're comparing the same pricing (the iPhone's subsidized pricing starts at free as well, for the iPhone 3G, which would indeed be superior to this phone). The fact that you feel the need to distort your claims even now makes me truly understand that you have some vendetta against anyone who dares express any negativity about Android, regardless of their personal experience.

Note that I haven't made any broad statements about Android sucking, or any other such negative remarks. I am personally very disappointed, and it would take a lot to get me to purchase another Android phone. That's all I said.

And you're allowed to assume whatever you want. Doesn't make it right, and doesn't mean anyone has to like you.

I personally do not care if nobody likes me (It's the internet) and yes I do have a vendetta but for hate of any potentially good products (I will shoot down Apple haters too). Mind you, you had some personal attacks too: yes I can grasp basic concepts.

To say the 3G is superior to Galaxy S 4G is silly in my opinion and many will agree with me. In my opinion, there must truly be a personal bias to think that a phone with a much superior screen, faster speed (both data and CPU) with similar battery life is worse. I would concede that the iPhone 4 could be considered a better phone even if I do not think so but 3G? That's a bit much.

Oh and btw, you can sell your Galaxy on Craigslit, pay off your ECF and then get a superior 3G for free.

Same here. I'm still recovering from two years of Android. Example: I press the buttons on my new iPhone like an EOD specialist cutting a wire expecting it to possibly explode. Instead, I am pleasantly surprised every time by its degree of polish.

On a side note, tempers seem to be flaring in the thread. Can we all step back, chillax, and be civil? Afterall, we're not debating peace in the Middle East. This is about smartphones.

Explosion? You must be mistaking an Android phone to the first gen iPod Nano :D. Jokes aside, you can feel the same degree of polish with Android phones, even the old Nexus One had a great degree of polish.

I apologize if I do not sound civil, trying to though.

Actually, I find that most people don't know anything about the specs, but they know that the iPhone just works. I personally could care less about the screen (the iPhone 3G's screen is fine, the iPhone 4 or 4S is even significantly better than this one), because on the iPhone, the graphics looks better. The faster speed is nice, but I can get more done with iOS. I don't think it's overkill at all to say that the 3G is better, even with a few tradeoffs.

I'm going to bow out here, to help cut off any heatedness that has been developing.

Bow out if you want, I personally don't think it's getting heated.

The screen debate of iPhone vs Galaxy S won't go anywhere either. Some people prefer a bigger screen and some people don't. Some people prefer deeper blacks over higher DPI while others don't.

I hope we can both agree that saying the 3G is better is at the end, just an opinion and not a fact, I will concede to say to the Galaxy S is better is also, at the end an opinion.

LOL I find it funny that you just changed your signature now after owning the phone for a few months now.

All the hate on both sides drives me nuts. Of all my friends that have an iPhone none have even tried Android for more than a quick 10 minutes or so. I've seen several on here bash it as well without ever owning one. Same can be said for Android users too stubborn to give iPhone a fair shake. Both are freaking amazing platforms and you have to be pretty narrowinded to not find pros and cons to both.

My wife has an iPhone 4 and I have the Thunderbolt. I personally prefer the flexibility and extreme personalization that my phone allows but she enjoys the ease of use. It takes me longer to get things done on her phone, but that's because a) I'm more used to Android overall and b) I've personalized my phone to make it quicker and easier for me.

Get the phone that works best for you and be happy for others that do the same!

But I'm not an Android owner... And I did not bash the iPhone... :( I loved my iPhone 4, had to get rid of it because it was a distraction.

Get the phone that works best for you and be happy for others that do the same!

Amen to that!

Just because YOU can get more done on an inferior iphone doesnt mean its better than a Galaxy S. SGS is superior in nearly every way objectively.

A Message To Eric Schmidt And Android: Put Up Proof Of Profits Or Shut Up
http://techpinions.com/a-message-to...roid-put-up-proof-of-profits-or-shut-up/11189

That tirade is funny. He contradicts himself. He states that Activations are only part of the equation. Not really - it all depends on what is being measured when marketshare is being discussed.

Is it # of devices running an OS?
Is it revenue by OS (hard to pinpoint since Apple doesn't charge of iOS, right)

And so on.

The blogger wants to equate marketshare with only profits. Schmidt never stated otherwise.
