You can't be serious.
Your argument is that apple phones are not crap just because they are US-designed. If you are serious... Ignorance is a bliss I guess.

I still have an old and working Samsung s8000 and u700 lying around. Now what?

No. iPhones are not crap because they were designed to be high quality and to last. Samsung is crap because it's crap--cheap materials and designed to last a year a year or two. Apple is like Honda. Samsung is like Kia. After 3 years a Honda is still tight and you can feel the engineering quality. After 3 years, a Kia is still running but it's a bucket of squeaks and rattles and owners pray for someone to steal them. Fat chance.

You haven't used a samsung phone or driven a modern kia recently have you? Basically every review disagrees with you.

Your welcome to your fanboy opinion but don't state it as fact when 90% of people disagree.

Even if Best Buy hired trained monkeys to fling poo at customers it wouldn't change the validity of bedifferent's observation of Apple retail. Deflection is a tool best not used if the goal is actual improvement. Without a doubt it's the type of response I like the least.

Hyperbolic example:

MR: "Apple discontinues FaceTime on iOS7 capable devices running iOS6"

Poster1: "That sucks. I'd like to keep my device on iOS6"

Poster2: "Well that might suck, but at least Apple's not like Samsung's CEO. That guy clubs baby seals with tube socks filled with newborn kittens."

Poster1: "What does that have to do with FaceTime?"

Poster2: "You did hear me mention kittens right? Kittens man... kittens"

I was making an independent comment trashing Best Buy, not utilizing deflection. :p

don't throw a line like that and go, elaborate please. Have you met her? Know someone who works with her?

From my own knowledge, which includes nothing on Angela Ahrendts outside of Macrumors, I think she will fit pretty well in the environment.

My own knowledge being that I know she's done some pretty cool stuff.

Ever seen one of her TED talks?

Honda has had lots of misses btw, including the quickly-re-redesigned Honda Civic...

Kia has been improving dramatically and gained a lot of respect.

Samsung Flagship phones are not cheap. I still see people carrying around their S3 and it's working great.

Not being snide or trolling, but my local Apple stores suck compared to the one Microsoft store we have in the area.

The Microsoft store looks better, smells better, is more fun, and has a full multiplayer Xbox section. It just has more energy and flavor.

The Apple experience just seems kinda stale in comparison.

That was a joke, right? The only, only, reason a msft store might possibly smell better is because absolutely no one ever goes there. Ever.

The MSFT store is always busy here. The Xbox traffic alone is always big.

I don't need a more personal touch to the Apple retail experience, what I would prefer if Apple reduced their prices so as to not grab 500% markup on all their devices, you know, make its a little less dehumanizing for people to buy Apple products.

1 - Higher prices allow Apple to pay all of their employees well (even the assembly workers in China are well paid), as opposed to products by Amazon or Walmart or Samsung where some of their employees are paid minimum wage.

2 - Higher prices allow for competition. The same companies that sell products for near cost still make a profit because lower prices means they aren't directly competing with Apple. Apple avoids being labeled as a monopoly because of their higher prices. They level the playing field for all the other companies coming out with knockoffs.

Has Apple has been lacking in "human touch"?
