I don't know whether to cry or laugh. But I LOLed .:eek:o_O:D:D
He got a friend to film him, and he's saying the he warned Apple that if they didn't reinburse him, this is what will happen , while destroying many iphones and Macs with a petanque ball ( a traditional french game that's a bit like bowling )

What an idiot.

I could understand (but not condone the behaviour) if he'd lashed out in a fit of rage but to plan the attack and get someone to take a video is completely unacceptable and really stupid. I suspect he'll be spending some time behind bars once it goes to court.

Petulant, spoilt thug. I'd have loved to see him do that in America. Next scene: pistol whipping as he cries like a girl.

Whoa! This is hard to believe in Oz.
Well, perhaps, cause I don't notice any such news in Australia

Welcome to the US no-fly list, french idiot.

I wonder what the actual backstory is or was he just hoping for millions of youtube hits?
People will do just about anything these day to get attention. At least his anger was only directed at inanimate objects, instead of Apple employees.

Well managed by store staff and security; no heroics, no one hurt, situation simply contained. Nice work.

It's not news that Americans love violence and assault.
Yes. Thankfully other countries can manage these things better than simply combating senseless violence with more senseless violence. After all, it was just a bunch of phones.

Yeah it's annoying when you turn up for a reservation and they gave your matte black to someone else.

Need subs!

Highly doubtful ... nothing more than vandalism ... full restitution with time to pay.

I have no idea about the French judicial system BUT here in Canada, he could plead Not Criminally Responsible, get a empathetic judge, a "positive", yep, you got angst psychiatric report, a prescription for some meds, and he'd get a pass on the restitution part and Apple would have to claim damages through their insurance provider.

An angry French customer walked into an Apple Store in Dijon and, armed with a steel ball used in the bowling game pétanque, started smashing iPhones, iPads and MacBooks.

Apparently he was angry that Apple did not give him refund. The video hurts my soul and anyone still waiting to receive their phones.

An angry/disturbed/etc. person does something erratic? And in the process more than likely ends up dealing more damage to themselves in terms of what legal and/or otherwise trouble they would get into, rather than anything else. Seems like something that likely happens quite often and consistently pretty much everyday throughout the world.
