They last longer than Apple branded ones. I just can't imagine paying another Apple's lightning that start breaking on the lightning end. I'm glad it comes with free when I buy the iPhone but after a couple months they're like China junk my original iPod Mini 30 pin cable still intact but these I think we're designed to fall apart quicker, gotta make money.

I've had iPhones since the first generation iPhone and I have NEVER had this happen to any of my cables. Yet all my friends have cables that look like this. What am I doing wrong??
[doublepost=1549295704][/doublepost]I'll be interested when the Anker cable is $5.

Same with me, most people just don’t care that much - seems they twist the cable a lot

Im actually happy. I currently use the Apple USB C to lightning, and it sucks. If you thought oem cables suck, the usb c ones suck even more. So I’m glad Apple is allowing MFi certifications for Type C to Lightning

What about a cable from USB to USB C that works with the I-Pad 12.9" 3rd Gen? That device is USB C and I have so many USB chargers. When I use a generic USB to USB C cable it doesn't charge the Ipad Pro.

I use the cable and the charger that came with my MBP to charge my 11" iPad Pro.

I use the same charger with an Anker USB to Lightning cable and a USB to USB C adapter to charge my iPhone XS Max.

It charges pretty quickly too.

Been using Anker cables for a while. No one else makes such a sturdy Lightning cable that's also 10ft. Who'da thunk that reasonable prices and high quality sells equipment.

Still, I wouldn't buy one of these what with rumours regarding newer phones eventually ditching Lightning. I have a couple of dongles to switch USB-A to USB-C.

So I bought a few lightning to usb-c cables from Apple a few years ago...they're not the first to market. And they're not much cheaper than one from Apple..

Yes, I know you can charge the iPad using USB-C, and you can use a USB-C charger to charge a thunderbolt device. I have 1 thunderbold device and 20 USB chargers, so I'm looking for a way to use the older USB charger to charge the newer USB-C device, to have extra chargers in different places.

This is nice. Now, they should also release a charging brick to go with their lovely cable.
They did and I bought one of their 20,000mAh units two weeks ago from BB, significantly lower than the competing systems at the same power level. Now if they would just include this cable for free. That's no too much to ask is it?

Am I the only one not impressed by this whatsoever? I've had a non-MFi one of these cables for over two years now and it works great...

Yeah, I just received my new 11" iPad, and the USB-C to USB-C cable is like 2.5 feet long! Maybe I'm slightly exaggerating—but it is barely long enough to stretch from an outlet to the edge of my desk. It really is pretty ridiculous for a $1K+ device, that they include such a small, short, and cheap (thin) cable. I personally don't have problems with Apple's cables in general, but this very short new iPad cable really bothers me.

And, if I am going to have to purchase a new cable, I'd like to know if it will support USB-C fast charging/data exchange. I know there have been problems in the past with USBC cables only providing USB2.0 speeds/power. It is a very screwed up 'standard.'
Ask yourself if this is a sensible situation: When you find a USB-C connector in your hand, how do you know WHAT it is exactly and its capacities/functionality: USB2.0, 3.0, 3.1, Power-only, Video-only, or Thunderbolt!??
