Hi, I have used the Anker 26800 pack for about a week with my Macbook 12 2015 and it's probably my favorite Anker product(I have about a dozen). I got it because I spend a lot of time in the car and often need to have my laptop battery topped up once I leave the car. I also have several other devices that often need to be topped up including iphone 6s plus, 6, and 5000mah mifi extended battery. I don't like the keep the car running just to keep devices that are charging from killing my car battery especiailly during winter. I had my engine turned off and had a cell phone charging for several hours when my car battery lost charge and couldn't start the car.

I got an Anker USB-A to USB-C plug from Amazon. Works great and an unscientific test showed:

1 percent charging about every three minutes with laptop in sleep mode. (based on 30 minute charging from 84 percent to 94 percent).

Laptop battery stays level when turned on and plugged into the Anker.

I used the laptop for about an hour and a half today(and about the same the other day) and anker power display went to 8 out of 10 bars. However, when I charged it using the supplied quick charger it showed 4 blinking bars were required to recharge to full. It also took about 5+ hours IIRC to charge the battery last week when I recharged it for the first time. Not sure as I fell asleep 5 hours after plugging it in and it was still not fully charged. I think it took less than five hours to recharge today.

Anyone know if the laptop/iphone charges faster if plugged into IQ or Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 port?

I misplaced the usb-micro cable that came with the Qualcomm charger. Is that a special cable that allows faster current or is it a regular usb-micro cable?

I haven't charged cell phones or other devices when this is powering the laptop. Let me know your results if you have tried this as I will try it next time.

All in all very pleased with the product. Would love to have a second one.

Unfortunately, Anker did not send me a free product in exchange for my unbiased and honest mini-review.
[doublepost=1452005785,1451982486][/doublepost]For some strange reason my macbook 29w adaptor will now not charge the laptop. I pulled out usb-c end attached tolaptop and adaptor, flipped ends and cleaned them, plugged and unplugged the adaptor, rebooted and finally it started charging. This happened a couple of days ago, the next day after I used the Anker pack. Never happened since I got the laptop last June.

Could this be related to Anker pack?

Apple replaced the usb-c cable and all seems to be well so far. I guess you are not supposed to wrap the cable around the charger. Apple genius showed me how to tie the cable after pulling it off the charger.

Photos or pics on the correct way to store USB-C cable?

One method was similar to this:

I don't exactly remember the other method. I think it was you wrap the cord in a long oval then tie it like the first knot in a shoelace.

Wonder how effective this'd be for the car and a rmb

The Anker PowerCore+ 20100 is unable to charge a Macbook 12.
It also fails to sustain a charge while the Macbook is actively being used, such as watching YouTube videos. The battery will steadily drop.

Anker claims MB 12 compatibility. Legally true. While the MB is turned off, the unit can charge. While the MB is not actively being used with the keyboard light off and the screen brightness at minimum, charging may barely occur, albight very slowly. However, not recommended. The stress of charging a MB 12 is just enough to frequently cause the Anker to reset. Causing on and off charging. The MB 12 display will show the surging going on and off.

It can however sustain a charge on a typical 8 inch tablet. It can not charge tablets. The device is not made for anything more than a phone. Again charging can occur if the tablet is turned off or not actively being used, albight very slowly.

Beware, Amazon sellers will advertise this as a Macbook 12 compatible device.

I looked at specs for Powercore+ 20100 and they don't seem to vary with specs on my Powercore+ 26800. My 26800 sustains the battery level while the Macbook 12 in use It does charge and tops up battery if laptop is off or in sleep mode. I imagine I could easily get 6-10 hours browsing runtime off the Powercore+ 26800 considering the numbers I was getting following 1-2 hours of processing RAW 36 megapixel images.

Could it be a cable issue? I ordered an Anker USB-A to USB-C. I have heard some cables might not be up to spec and can cause issues.

Here are some screen shots - beginning at 85% charge, plugged the battery in and 25 min later was 91% charge. This with brightness about 40%, searching the web with Firefox with 10-13 tabs open. Also open but not actively working on: 3 Word docs, Kindle & 2 pdf's.

Not sure what else you can expect!

I have about 10 anker products in my house and this is another winner. After Hurricane Sandy, an elderly relative was stuck without power on a 7th floor of a building and I dropped off the bulky Paul C. Buff Vagabond Mini™ Lithium with two spare batteries(controlled-current pure sine wave power source for operating AC powered studio flash units in the field from its built-in battery) so she could power up her mobile phone with its usb plug as well as her laptop with the ac plug.

thanks to anker and new usb-c laptops i can now drop off something way smaller for emergency situations where connectivity is important.

Can I use Anker Astro Pro2 Universal 20000mAh battery to charge the 12 inch rMB? The USB charges too slow for my taste while using macbook and I really want to take advantage of the 16 volt or 19 volt options to fast charge the macbook. I ordered a random DC to USB-C plug to try to charge at 19V but i see no difference in charge speed. It charges just like USA would. I'm able to charge my rMBP 15 inch quite fast using the DC port on the battery.

Anyone have a solution or is the USB-C port on the macbook forever limiting charge speed and why so if the macbook can charge fast while plugged into wall?
