Can’t buy them anywhere but Anker or Amazon, they are now exclusive to Amazon, this makes it a no go from the get go.

I think this is more for commuting by rail or bus. Transparency mode is for anytime you need to remain aware of your surroundings like that.

Actually the newly released on 1/1/21 Cambridge Audio Melomania Touch while not noic=se cancelling as the APP have Transparency mode only - odd thing is though you can set the amount form 0 to 100% seems to me that is in practice the same result by adjusting % transparency mode - I have these and APP and cannot see any difference in noise cancellation/Transpparency yet the Melomania are much better sound
