Mopoint is utter ****. I was in their 66 and 100W campaigns. They lied, they ship late, lie again and then the devices didn't work (3rd USB-C port on two of my 100W chargers).

Also these guys don't actually invent anything. It's all the same china-manufactured OEM-branding stuff. I bought three more from minix. They cost less and you can get them straight from amazon. They're literally the same thing as the 66W models but they only cost $31.41 after discount:

Sorry to hear that…

I bought three of the 100W version and now 10 of the 65W (I’m building gift bags for couples traveling to the UK for my wedding) I tested every one of them without a single issue.

Folding US plug. Useless in most of the world. Apple's modular plug solution is way better, even though the charger is larger. All Apple charges and one set of global tips.

Perhaps due to the worldwide chip shortage? I am also going to guess they could make these cheaper if they made them bigger and took some short cuts.

My college has recently adopted a BYOD “bring-your-own-device“ policy for the film program that I teach in. The IT department’s “recommended device” list is really interesting. The Macs price-wise are on par for mid-range and slightly cheaper on the high end compared to recommended Windows based machines (you cannot bring the low-end options into our programme). Note the IT department, like many, is Windows focused so they know what they are looking for to meet required specs. We are not allowing students to build their own devices because NLEs tend to be very particular about hardware and I, for one, do not want to spend class time troubleshooting Windows Frankencomputers with students who are trying to save a few bucks on components that are “just as good“ as what is recommended.

Way too much time this last semester was spent troubleshooting problems with Windows GPU drivers and Adobe. Mac students were rightfully complaining about the amount of time I was spending helping the Windows students. And that is before the BYOD policy officially starts.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Sorry I strayed off topic but to bring it back around the total cost of ownership is far too often ignored by people when making a purchase decision.
I don't think so, not entirely anyway. Their prices were headed right up as of 2+ years ago. It's like Under Armour, when they were the new kids in the block the differentiator had to be that they offered great quality at a good price. Once established, the price and profits become the main driver.

I wish someone make a thinner charger instead of smaller boxy charger. I live in Europe and an Apple 5 watt charger is very thin. But I stopped using it already because my iPad charger is faster.

They finally delivered the 100W one to me. It will only charge slowly to my low wattage devices (no high speed). Additionally, for my MBP, it doesn’t charge at all on one of the 100W ports, and on the other one just flops between charging and not charging. So, now we’ll see how good they are at handling defects and returns :D

Just got the Anker nano II and found that the macbook pro M1 can't charged with it.

65W one, with 100W cable also from Anker, but I tried the apple's cable too, doesn't work as well.
Contact Anker and ask for replacement as other people have reported that it charges their Macboks.
