But yeah, latest dropbox update doest address it yet, and I have a feeling it won't be anytime soon!
Dropbox v91.4.548 seems to have largely improved.
(with Finder Extension ON)
Spinning Wheels no longer appear.
However, there is a slight delay until the application toolbar changes to a regular state and the rendering is complete.

No more beach ball, instant here, rendering is instant.
Apart from missing the green label status when the dropbox extension is deactivated, I must say I didn't really miss this extension, so will see if I will have it reactivated or not!
