user experience from a pure 'out of the box' perspective is better on the iP4 than any android device.

and this is coming from an android fan.

as long as carriers/handset makers (ahem HTC/Motorola) continue to put their own custom overlay + bloatware, I stand by this statement.

iP4 > android device (from first out of box perspective)

now a fully customized rooted android device vs jailbroken iP4, THATS a different story.

Think of it this way, how many phones has the iPhone killed?

Palm Treo and Centro, which had booming apps stores, and were actually still selling reasonably well before iPhoneOS 2.0 and the iTunes App Store were announced.

I don't think I've gotten a royalty check from a PalmOS app store since about then.

Pros:
Beautiful phone - Wallpaper is exquisite
Integrates with Google nicely
Voice commands are awesome "Navigate to ..."

Cons:
Can't use active wallpapers - battery life is dreadful!
Uh, I have active wallpaper on my Samsung Vibrant (T-Mobile's version of the Galaxy S) right now.

Can't read calendars AT ALL - especially if you use exchange.
I haven't used the calendar app, but exchange calendar support is hardly a deal breaker. If you need MS support, then you should probably consider a Windows phone

There is a garrish black on dark purple background that you CANNOT customize
What?

Android marketplace is pretty much non-navigable
There must be a problem with your phone. Market works fine on mine

The only real problem right now with the Galaxy S phones is the failed GPS. Samsung keeps promising a fix but nothing yet.
