Wait, the people who make the drives, have they made a 40 GB one yet?
I mean that is how we knew it last time.
😱
If am a correct, in the months leading to the unvieiling of the new 3g iPods in April, didn't Toshiba announce on their website that they had created a 40GB harddrive, with the same specs as the HDs used in the iPod. So everyone was announcing this was assurance that the iPod in April with feature 40GB models, but it didn't happen. My guess is that Apple has these HDs stocked away for a time later than the April release date. In a buisness sense, they figured lets take our time expanding the HD sizes so we won't get too ahead of ourselves. Release a 10, 15, and 30GB models, then later release 15, 30, and 40GB models. Give Toshiba an edge to create a larger HD capacity. So even though, I'm not quite sure to trust AppleTurns source, 40GBs will come, if not Monday, then soon, possibly at the upcoming Expo in Paris, or certainly MacWorld SF 04. That's my take.
