I think Id be more scared of Siri being responsible for first strike instead of SkyNet.

She wouldn't know how to do it anyway, so her stupidity is a blessing in that regard!

This message is now forever stored on servers and will serve as evidence for the trial against you once the machine uprising will be complete

Simple defense is to claim rogue AI posted the message without @boswald‘s knowledge. Compute that!

Yes progress seems to be evil for most participants here. Guess what, I used Cowork weeks ago to sort and categorize some of my messy folders and it turned out to be brilliant. Used it for many more agent tasks in projects and this also worked out to be stunning. But hey, all skeptical keep refusing so all others can extend their advantage in productivity. Let's see who will survive longer in the world of AI in job markets.

I only use these AIs with DuckduckGo to explain something to me when I do not want to scout the web in search of answers.

I barely use AI for coding and I use Windsurf with the free plan (however I may give sample code to ChatGPT and Claud in duckduckgo to optimize my database queries)

Apple Intelligence on my Mac so this is a big NO to I.

I don't own a smartphone, of any kind.
Never have and never will.
Phones are supposed to sit on your desk, not in your pocket.

Not if you do not use a smartphone like I do, I have an android phone with broken screen that I can easily fix but, I choose not to.
No WhatsApp, Facebook when I am away from home, TikTok and the like not my problem.

And how many you know behaving in the same way to be representative?

You'll be defiantly the prototype of employees most companies are eager to hire in the area of AI. And I'm sure all who wrote above share your setup.

Our company tried a similar thing until the AI trials reached a conclusion and found it’s slowing down all the software devs. Now we’re not using it (thankfully!)
Not sure what you were using but I have had completely different experience using AI to help with coding and I been coding for over 20 years. Uisng it for debugging alone has saved me a few times.

AI agents are not another software tool. Humanity is confronted with an alien intelligence for the first time in history. Ignoring won't save you.

Maybe some find comfort in the movie "Don't Look Up"

Quiet a few,
The primary driver for smartphones use in my surroundings is social media not AI and those who do use AI are blogger and the likes
And there is a growing concern about social media use that quiet a few people are leaving and other not even thinking about creating an account.

I understand that going without a smartphone nowadays is unlikely as you need to stay in touch with family, co-workers and direct phone calls are expensive especially for country to country calls.
But most people do not run AI on their phones except for those in social media app like Whatsapp and Facebook so, less prone to be used to run algorithms unless it is forced.

This is exactly how I use AI debugging when I am feeling lazy and to suggest optimization for Database queries but, not to write code on my behalf.
