We've all heard it before:

iphone 4: Antenna-gate
iphone 4S: Battery-gate
iphone 5: Scuff-gate
iphone 5S: Gold-gate
iphone 6/6+: Bend-gate

So, what loopy backlash do you think the iphone 6S is going to get? I think we're running out of things to complain about. Maybe something wonky with the new touch-sensitive screen?

My money's on CPU issue. I'll call it NAND gate. ;)

NAND is a memory type, not a CPU.(edit: NAND Flash is a memory type, not to be confused with Logical NAND)

IMO this entire idea of thinking up the next Apple 'micro-disaster'(defined as the ludicrous faults that the normal buyer would never even notice or experience) is a huge waste of time.

Ah darn, I was taught that a NAND gate was just, like, an on-off switch used in CPUs and stuff to process what's going on, all those tasty transitors. Now I feel stupid

Well that could entirely be correct as a NAND gate is an older-type of transistor. Some NAND memory uses a type floating-gate transistors that are connected in a way that resemble NAND gates.

NAND gates were also used in CMOS chips, however I'm not sure if that is still the case.

Err NAND gate is a type of logic gate which can be either a diode or transistor

So ... did my joke make sense or not? :D

it did, but the newer generation of nerd probably missed it completely.

Thanks man, I feel old as anything now. My Dad got this for me as a kid (anybody remember these?) and boy did I love it. Looking through the manual and making an AM radio was great. I still remember the joy I felt when it briefly picked up something other than static - a very rare occasion indeed.

Apple will say it's water-resistant like the Apple Watch, and then people will go scuba-driving with it where it will get water damage.

Scubagate sounds silly. Is Watergate taken?

Agreed - but does every thread have to be about something meaningful? Macrumors would go out of business

What it should be is iOS-gate.
It's in desperate need a serious real update and clean up.. not an icon change and new backdrops.
