I'm planning on upgrading but I am really worried about using the 3g service. My friends with newer iphones are always complaining about dropped calls. I almost never have that problem on Edge. It's got me looking hard at the EVO even though I really like the iPhone better. Sprint's service is better and I could get unlimited texts, minutes and a hotspot for less than I pay for the shoddy 3g AT&T network. I hate to commit to two years of that with them.

I'm definitely upgrading. My 2g was a present and since then I've not really been able to afford to buy a new one. I'm really excited to finally get a new one since the 2g is getting a little persnickety at this point and I can't wait for 3G coverage as I really like streaming music, but the EDGE network is just too slow. Not to mention all the other great features coming with the new one. I'm glad I waited though, as I seem to have passed through the "plastic years".

I guess it really all depends on where you live and the concentration of users. My husband has Sprint and he's constantly dropping calls and not having calls go through. I spend a lot of time listening to the Obama sound-alike Sprint has saying "Please hold while the subscriber you are trying to reach is located."

Hah, good to know hyran. Maybe they all just have problems. At least I know the Edge around here in Dallas is pretty decent.

anyone know if these are going for anything on Craigslist? I sold my iPhone 3G 2 years ago on there and got $350 for it..I'm curious cuz my Dad has an original 2G in great condition and wants to upgrade to the iPhone 4, so I'm wondering if he'd be able to sell it for anything previously? any experiences with this situation?
