I had to log out of messages, log back in then quit messages and open it again. It worked for me after that.

Yup. All the MS Office 2011 apps working just fine. They just updated today also, not for 10.9 but for security patches.

Does Office 2008 still work? I know they stopped supporting it in April :/

Hi there, I tried the GPS utilities following:

gps2geX and GPSutility (latest releases) are not working.

p.s: I would also point out I tried 3 BT GPS dongles with no success.

Message simply says Server 2.2.1 is not compatible with this version of OSX.

Um.. there is a developer preview for Mavericks available in the Dev Center. I would suggest downloading that instead! Currently it's build 13S263p.

That's GateKeeper, it was present and worked the same in ML.

To bypass it either deactivate GateKeeper completely in system preferences or simply ctrl-click on the app and chose "Open", it will bypass the unsigned developer check. This is only necessary to do once.

Autocad 2013 fails to open a file even with right click->open with... Autocad opens, but with a new-clean drawing.

Only works if from autocad, you browse files/open. If not, the file doesn't loads.

LiteSwitch X is broken

LiteSwitch X (Application Switcher) no longer works and it appears to be abandonware. If you didn't know, it had a feature that would send a re-open event for window based apps. Anyone know of another app switcher that has this feature?

CandyBar seems to finally have croaked under Maverix.

Macaroni is glitchy too.

Endnote won't launch either.

Candybar works for Applications but not for System icons. For some, I manually changed system icons in /System/Library/CoreServices. The icons are almost always in the "Resources" folder of each app.

Okay, just installed Mavericks. I run a boatload of programs. Here are the ones not working...

1. EyeTV. Anyone using any of the Elgato EyeTV products will find that the viewer crashes. The device also disconnects itself.

works perfectly for me. The disconnected error message has been a reported bug for a while. Simply unplug it and plug it back in. The viewer hasn't crashed for me, maybe reinstall it? Been working better than ever, watching live and recorded television on my iPad has been stellar.

Launches ok, but when you try to scan items, it crashes.

Works for me.

So odd, I wonder why the results differ on the same system beta build.

I do hope TotalFinder gets sorted out for Mavericks. Even though Finder is getting tabs TotalFinder offers other enhancements. My favorite is being able to list folders above files. I wish this was an option natively in Finder. It also can show two folder in one dual pane window.

Completely agree any the new version is awesome. More enhancements and such.

only the config app crashes for me. The menu extras themselves work fine.

I was having the same issue but based on ssn637's post (thanks!) I just downloaded and installed iStat Menus 4.06 (426). Haven't tweaked any settings but everything appears to be working normally now.

Anybody know if iStat 3 works? I don't really want to upgrade, I think 3 looks nicer and I have no use for 4's features...

Camtasia 2 Broken?

Just tried using TechSmith's Camtasia 2 and found that it only records the initial screen. If other programs, webpages etc. are opened, they are never displayed in the recording. However, the cursor and any audio continue to record. Very odd.

It also crashed a couple of times.

Is it me or is anyone else experiencing the same?

EDIT: TechSmith released Camtasia 2 v2.4.1 today. Installed it and had the same recording results although it has not crashed after about three uses. Sent them a tech support request...will post what they say.

Desktop Tidy

I use this small menu bar app that cleans up my desktop by removing items I've pasted or dragged to it (anything, photos, text files, etc.) and storing them. Clicking on the DT menu bar icon allows you to see/retrieve whatever it's storing.

Clicking on Desktop Tidy Preferences causes it to close. Manually reopening it works and it works fine otherwise, just seems to be a Preferences issue (like other apps apparently).

Adobe CC suite on 10.9

On DP2 (just installed)...
All Adobe applications have a big problem with the open/save file dialog. If you press cmd-O once you've open the program, you'll not be able to open the file dialog anymore (a window will appear with the word "Program Error").
Instead, if you open an Adobe file (an image or an Indesign file) directly from the Finder and after that you'll try to save it, the file dialog will open normally but if you try to specify the file tag, the window will lose focus and buttons will become unclickable. The only way to close it is to exit the program.
Naturally if you open the save dialog ONCE you'll be unable to open it again...

Another issue.
If you'll use the tablet to draw (using brushes tool) once you've start drawing, the keyboard stops responding (you cannot press cmd-Z for example). If you want to use hotkeys you've to click "away". Annoying...

Big issues both, really... and it seems to be an usual Apple+Adobe problem.

As long as Adobe insists on using "non-standard" calls to system libraries, every time Apple updates his operating system, these problems will happen...
But every time that happens, Adobe says it's the fault of Apple and Apple says that the bug is caused by Adobe.
