I understand the 17 isn’t live for preorders. I’m just saying when you start the upgrade process the 17’s do not show any promo offers yet like the 16’s

Heads up, it’s showing the right price now. It says 12.98 but it means $2.98 plus the monthly $10 Next Up plan fee.

I was just gonna tell you the same thing haha. Looks like the early upgrade offers are live now. I’m currently paying $33.31/mo for my 16PM so my monthly payment will actually be going down!

Yeah my bill is about to go down quite a bit. Currently I’m paying $25 a month plus the $10 month upgrade program fee for my phone. Once I upgrade it would be $2.78 plus the $10.

Edit: Almost forgot I’m going for 512 to 256 so that is why it is going down as well.

But are the next up offers exclusive to the AT&T website specifically or can we do it on the Apple website? It’s my first time with the next up $10 program and the Apple website just focuses on the trade in with the regular price.

I went to try to prepare for the pre-order and if I chose trade in, it did not prompt me to try to do the AT&T Next Up Anytime. If I don't choose a trade in, it does offer the option. I'm not sure why.

If I want to do a trade in for the promo AND do the Next Up Anytime, should I do that on AT&T site? I am not currently getting any promo on my phone line.

There’s a catch, there’s always a catch 🤣🤣

So I was running through AT&T’s preorder calculator for my upgrade, I have one more payment but it’s letting me upgrade. However what threw me off was the trade in, how did they make this possible for them to say I paid 30%, then somehow they credit me 1,100 on my iPhone 🤔🤔 how locked in will it be.

My biggest question is how will this be possible because for one, I plan to doing store pickup with financing through AT&T there. Normally it’s pretty good but just wondering if I chose no trade in how it will affect the next up upgrade or whatever 😬
Do you mean Apple Store pickup? You choose the Next financing and terms when you preorder tomorrow, and your account is validated. They will remind you that you have to send your phone back to AT&T. AT&T will email you a return label (or they should- I have had to call the last 2 years) and you ship back your phone within 14 days. I have been on Next Up the last 2 years and they applied my $500 credit (over 36 months) to my line after calling. Hoping the Next Up anytime credit application is more seamless.

You can now get fully ready for preorder in the Apple Store App. It checks and confirms your AT&T information, puts in your payment method, etc. All you have to do tomorrow is check out.

It tells me to go through ATT because I used ATT to purchase the Next Up Anytime with an iPhone 16 max. Then it says something about coming back (it's a bit convoluted). Maybe others will chime in.

I use Next Up as well. Didn't have any issues. Is your phone 33% paid off?
It’s 33% paid off, going through apple’s motion I clicked no trade in, no Apple care, etc, signed up for AT&T financing and agreed to pay for the taxes separately. Then the carrier settings prompted me about the current iPhone “trade” in condition and told me they would require it back. The customer agreement made no mention of the 11$ (41$ for the 1tb) monthly price for the current iPhone trade in as seen on the website.

I’m getting the feeling this is specifically through Att.com and not Apple.com

When I did on att, they automatically selected the trade in because they would credit me the $1,100 from my current phone.

I have always done yearly upgrades on AT&T thru Apple and I have gotten the same deals and promos as those done directly thru AT&T. The last 2 (or 3) cycles, I had Next Up which required you to have your phone paid up 50% and trade in to upgrade. That early upgrade also came with a $500 credit (over 36 months). When I upgraded thru Apple, the first year, the credit didn't automatically apply. I called and they added it. The second year, it was automatically applied. Since the T&C on Apple say that your phone needs to be traded in, I don't see why the $1,100 promo won't apply.

Huh, interesting, now that I know about the promotion I never realized I have been overpaying for my phone, I always upgraded yearly or 50% next up when they had it, thanks, I’ll see if I can get credited to my account, thanks!

Maybe, but it's the top Next-Up so there's that, and also it works at the ATT site, just not getting it at the Apple site (yet). I'll figure it out. Thanks! (if it it all worked smoothly, i'd get suspicious, so i'm good)

Anyone else find it annoying that AT&T gives you $1,100 in credits when buying the Pro models but only $830 when buying the Air? It can make the Air more expensive than the Pro when doing a trade in (depending on your configuration)!

Even though I just got my 16 Pro Max, I am considering paying the $220 to do an early upgrade, depending on how review go. My phone is fine, but I don’t know if I like the look of my 16 Pro Max in a clear case

I did the ATT trade in offer for the first time. My 14 pro max was already paid off, but I was able to get a 17 PM and they gave me the $1100 credit. I was not on the next up program, but have now signed up for it for $10 a month.
