In my case, I was seeing the same extreme (~10% per hour) drain until I turned off the Breathe app.

I was wondering if it was the Mac unlocking feature as well, but I've left that on, and am back to watchOS 2 battery life. Along with the Dock / faster app launching, it really does make it feel like a new device.

I have breath app on. I use Numerals watch face with Carrot Weather complication. I have 10 apps in Dock, about half are third party. The watch has been about 12 hours on my wrist and it's at 75% at the moment.

Could you elaborate on "turned off the Breathe app"? Do you mean turning off the reminders?

Yup. Turned off every option in the Breathe section of the Watch app on the iPhone.

It's quite possible this is unrelated: others seem to be using the Breathe app with no battery issues.

Do the people who are having battery issues on beta 2 have unlock your Mac enabled on the watch?

I don't, not running the beta on my Mac so I can't. I've been off the charger a little over 4 hours and I'm at 86%. This is actually better than the last two days so we'll see, unless I charge it when I go back to the room to change it will be on my wrist until probably 11:00 pm or maybe even midnight. On 2 it would last 18 hours no problem, the last few days I've been lucky if it lasted 8.

I've experienced great performance/battery life in B2 on wOS 3. Based on my personal experience, I would recommend a restore and set up as a new watch. Battery life was not great, but after setting it up as new, performance has been on par with wOS 2.

Battery performance is very bad on beta 2. Un-paired/paired my watch multiple times and setup as a new device. But still draining very fast. Also disabled SOS but no changes.

Try turning off wifi calling on the watch. That was the other thing I did when I turned off sos.

Turning off background app refresh fixed my battery life on beta 2. Everything else turned on as normal.

Just unpaired and repaired so I'll see how things go.

Beta 1 was bad at first but after a few days lasted as long as 2.2.1, would end the day with 45-60 percent. Beta 2 I've been ending the day with 30-45 percent.

Did that but same drainage problem.

Here's my usage so far today. Barely used the phone, but iOS 10 beta 2 is strong for me battery wise.

The watch is holding up great. On watchOS 3 beta 1 it would've died hours ago. The screen shots show how it is on beta 2.

You turn off wifi calling by going into Phone on the Apple Watch app. Just noticed I still have wifi calling on, so for me just turning off SOS fixed the battery drain.

My battery issues seem to have worked themselves out. After the horrible performance I reported last week I just made sure it stayed charged any chance I got. Well Monday I put the watch on at 8:30 am and took it off around 10:30 pm with 20% left. Today it's been on since 8:30 am and right now at 4:15 pm I am at 72% charge. Hopefully this trend keeps going!

Yep, I think I'm good! From 8:30 am to 11:40 pm and I'm at 22%. I usually go to bed between 1 and 2 am and on watchOS 2 I would usually be 10 - 20% so I think I am finally back to OS 2 battery life. Love it!

Today, my watch dropped hardly. After lunch, i got The 10% warning. And I started at 7am. I think the reason was , that I Weared a Long Pullover instead of a tshirt. So the watch was covered all the time. Did someone seen it before?

Had drainage problem this morning again. I think Apple is getting some information from the devices for diagnostics. It's weird.

I would try un-pair, then re-pair then hard reset watch if battery is draining. Hard resets seem to do wonders for other iOS devices when there are battery issues.

What fixed it for me was to do a resync of data. Wait ten minutes, then turn off the watch then phone. Turned the phone back on and then the watch and battery life has been great since
