No update since preparing for shipment at 3am Friday. What a horrible purchase experience...
That probably means that particular store does have that model and configuration in stock. They're just not allowing you to place the order online. It's first come, first serve in the store.
I noticed the same thing on the website when I searched for an aluminum Series 2 at my local Best Buy last Monday night. I went to the store Tuesday morning and sure enough, they had a few of the Series 2 in the configuration I wanted in stock and I picked one up. There have been several other reports in this thread along those same lines.
At this point I'm just ready to have the watch and never deal with them on big releases again
So Best Buy claims 28th release.. yet nothing is moving.. figured they were just stalling again. BLAH! Went to preparing last week and just sits there. I'm seriously thinking of just cancelling and keeping my series 0 at this point.
Since mine went to "Preparring" the option to cancel is no longer an option. Only on the Apple Care.
Same, but I would just call the 1-800 number to have them cancel that way. Considering it's been sitting like that for a week, wouldn't be hard for them. But of course I said that and I just got my shipping confirmation number. Doesn't say when it's going to arrive however, I'm going to wager after the original quoted 28th.
Finally giving us all some hope! What shipping speed did they use and did you pay for faster shipping or just the typical free shipping?
lol what the **** Best Buy. I pre ordered on the 19th, same model. You got the 42mm SS white sports band, or different band? Mine still says preparing to ship.

I think notifications are rolling out and not going out all at once. I'd keep your eye on your email.
Not sure yet, I just received the UPS tracking number and that's it. The tracking information isn't available in the UPS online system yet.
Are BB orders through UPS? or is it dependant on the local vendors?
My last BB order was on Ontrac, I am guessing it's because of a local warehouse stock.
I hope it's UPS, they always delivery exact at 745pm :|. Ontrac is undeterminable on their delivery times.

Mine currently says USPS, I didn't pay extra for shipping. So it's possible those who didn't take the free shipping option will get their's via UPS.

I agree - but with apple I would have waited a couple weeks as well and I've already waited a year and a half to get one.
With Best Buy I got the $50 (which I used on a woven band) AND I called and they took $50 off my order as well. So I'm fine waiting for $100 off the S2. It sucked to wait this long but I got an S2 for the price of the S1!
Then I have no idea why mine shows USPS unless it's shipping from an in state location.
They're probably selecting whatever service can get it to you by the 28th (or as close to the 28th) for the least amount of money.
Those who had UPS as their shipment carrier, does your tracking come with a reference #/ ID? Like how the Apple iPhone's reference was our phone #s.

Because the Watch is over Best Buy's $35 expedited shipping threshold, they all should've been free 2 day shipping. But it seems like those of us who had ours shipped last week are having ours shipped ups ground with the expected delivery date still Wednesday
