Anyone bother to call BestBuy and ask? Haha

Recent twitter conversation... first sounds good and then "or as close to release date as possible"

[doublepost=1473871803][/doublepost]I've ordered in stock items from best buy before and there has been times where i get a shipping email and confirmation number the same day it is delivered. At the earliest (just from looking back at past orders) I got it 2 days before delivery. Most of the time the email came the day before. I am in Memphis TN. so we are a shipping HUB which could factor into the short notices.

With that said some things concern me:
1. Best Buy's past experience with Preorders (iphone 6s saying delivery on release date not being delivered for 4-6 weeks later)
2. the fact that DAYS after the preorder went live Best Buy was still promising release day delivery. Even while Apple themselves had slipped to late October.
3. the Twitter response of "as close to release date as possible" for one that is extremely vague.. could very well mean 4-6 weeks later and secondly that wasn't the agreement. Mine clearly said "Get it By: Release day Friday 9/16"

I called and spoke to Best Buy. They said it would ship out a couple days prior to 16th and would arrive on 16th. Makes me feel better. I would expect to see it ship this afternoon or at least change status by then.

I got my Navy Blue sport band I ordered a few days ago from BB. Now just waiting for the Nike + watch. They sent out text and email the day it shipped.

no tracking nothing...hope to get it tomorrow. i canceled my preorder on apple website because best buy offered launch day delivery.

i did call best buy for status. the rep said that sometimes preorder means launch date delivery, or launch day shipping, or if they dont get enough stock you get an adjusted date after launch. not very helpful.

Yeah me and you did the exact same thing with orders in both places. If I hadn't had over $200 in reward certificates I would have left my order with Apple regardless of getting more points by buying through Best Buy. At least I would know it would be here on Friday. Still holding out hope but I am starting to have my doubts as every time I look at the order it is always sitting at processing and not even preparing. Annoying.

At this point all we can do is have faith... no phone calls, emails, twitter conversations, facebook posts or instagram stories will have any bearing on if we get it friday... we just all need to pray to the Best Buy Preorder Gods and have faith.. and if all else fails call on Friday and get us some gift cards. :)

Mine still says processing.
[doublepost=1473893462][/doublepost]Mine just updated. It was supposed to come on launch but due to a delay with apple its now scheduled for 9/28. They offered a credit towards my next purchase

I just got an email from Best Buy saying that the new release date for my watch is 9/28. They also attached a $50 gift card that expires in a month due to the delay. I'm mad that they lied, but do appreciate the $50 gift card.

I just got an email from Best Buy with my pre order update, blaming Apple for an alleged delay and stating my watch that was supposed to arrive on the 16th is not supposed to arrive on or after September 28th!! This is some real BS. They did include a $50 gift card for a future purchase with 30 day expiration but I would rather have the watch on time. Very disappointed !

Got the same email. Preorder pushed back to the 28th of Sept and a $50 gift card..
[doublepost=1473893931][/doublepost]Guess I might get Apple care after all

Got a $50 gift card and all I have to do is wait an extra 2-3 weeks for the watch? Can't complain about that at all. Super pleased.

I just got the same email, is it just for BestBuy.com or for the store and the website? I honestly don't care for the $50 gift card I'd rather have my watch Friday.

I had doubts that they would be able to come through, so I didn't cancel my Apple Store order. I'll gladly take the $100 they sent me for the 2 watches that I'll most likely cancel now.

Same boat as all above.

Wanted my watch Friday as it'd be my first.

Deceptive to say the least.

And to make the $50 expire in a month pisses me off.

What also is odd is that I ordered mine early the morning of 9/9 and then decided to order my wife one late the evening of 9/10.

But, both got pushed back to the same date 9/28 from a promised 9/16.

Crappy.

First and last time I've preordered anything from bestbuy. Of course I cancelled my order from apple that was supposed to come. Ext week.

I wonder if we cancel the order after we use the gift certificate how that would work ? Not saying I'm going to just curious.
Was also curious if we still get to keep the 50$ if we cancel the order. Wonder how hard it will be to get a watch on Friday at Apple Stores.

This whole thing teaches me to never preorder something from Best Buy. I had my doubts but this really pisses me off. While the $50 card is great but I don't care for it expiring in a freaking month. I would much rather have the watch I woke up at 3am for to preorder. Really is false advertising.
