Any Chance for a Darker Theme?

If you have ever visited https://www.macstories.net/ there is a nice color button towards the top that will change the website background from white to a dark gray. This would really be nice on these forums for when browsing at night or somewhere dark to avoid needing to use the iOS disability options or inverted colors on the Mac.

This something that is ever been considered?

For Chrome or Firefox you can use the Dark Reader add-on. Makes all websites dark. Sometimes it inverses the colors on pictures. Usually it just reduces saturation and adds sepia tone.

I use dark reader as well. You you can set a site list that uses the chrome extension without effecting anything else.

No, I modify it because it’s a visual queue. I always ended up looking for it when it was right in front of me, same with iMessages icon.

Come on, everyone – now that analysts and fans have unearthed this much subtle evidence for a system-wide dark mode in MacRumors' code, I'm sure they'll officially announce one in a few years.

Agreed. From a UX perspective a dark them is much easier on the eyes meaning the users might spend more time on the site. That means increased revenue from advertisements. Bottomline is that there shouldn't be a tremendous amount of dev work involved for potential large gains in regards to experience and site monetization.

There's a ton of XenForo dark themes (basically CSS/graphics) available, from free to "reasonably cheap" ($15-30). Looks like the user setting a theme is also a standard XF feature (where multiple themes are present).

Have you tweaked any settings for the Dark Mode in Mojave? I don't really care for it. I find that dark grey as opposed to black makes many of icons, especially those in the menu bar look awful. They may need to be tweaked by developers to appear better but after all I have read about Dark Mode I really haven't been impressed much.
