Yes, I think Big Sur will be available on November 10th, with the new Apple Silicon Macs. Apple can't put machines for sale on the Apple Store without putting the system for download at the same time.

Well, the Apple Silicon Macs will only work with Big Sur so, at the latest, it should be released the same day that the new Macs become available.

My guess, though, is Big Sur will be released today. ;)

Why not? The Macs won't be available for delivery on day one even if they're listed for sale later today.

was the iOS 14.2 GM RC the same build as the final public one?

11.0.1 GM RC may be the same...

My guess will not release today. Probably the end of the month like 26th November. If they shipped ARM Macs this Friday then probably they will release Big Sur on 12th November. ARM Macs shipping date is the key for releasing Big Sur.

Apple releases when it is ready, could be today or tomorrow. Has to be real soon. This is the longest, date wise, any Mac operating system has been in recent memory.

Website (Apple) says 11/12 which I assume means December 11th? There should be an International standard for the date format.

In the US it's 11/12 = NOV 12th , In France 12/11 = 12 Novembre
Everybody gets it at the same time. whatever your local time about software updates on November 12th. There is grid I can't seem to find at tells you the times around the world it's released.

Take a look at this chart, look at the times, don't look at the day of the week. It is written in 24 hour time.iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 Release Time

I wasn't talking about the time but the date. See higher up in the tread. Someone was confused between 11/12 and 12/11 . US vs EU

I understand what you're saying, but Apple does localize the date on their regional sites. People in Europe or other countries would see the date formatted in a way that makes sense to them.
