yah me too. on launch day and im 2/17/11. theres got to he some pattern to this. it cant just be random

I bought my wife and I 3GS's on launch day. Though I really hope they keep pushing the dates up, I don't expect mine (currently 2/20/11) to be moved up, I would hope that if peoples who were in December got moved up 7 months, that mine would be moved up the same amount... I wouldn't mind waiting until August to upgrade, but if they make me wait until Feb, I might as well wait until the next generation, or just jump ship to Verizon if they get it. I'll keep checking and praying my date gets pushed up, but I'm not holding my breathe.

Mine changed to offer an immediate upgrade about 4 days ago, it was November. My wife's phone however was still November and she called to 'complain' since we bought them on the same day.

After going round and round with the CSR he said to go talk to a manager at an AT&T store.

She just checked a few minutes ago and is now available for an immediate upgrade too.

We bought your 3G's launch week and our 3gs's launch day, both subsidized.

Nothing new here .. AT&T is doing what they've done all along. If your monthly bill is $100+, then your upgrade period is 12-18 months (depending on how much you pay) instead of 24 months.

What plan are you on, because neither my wife or me are having any luck. She doesn't need and/or want an upgrade, so I just need one to get pushed up....here's hoping

That's strange. I purchased Aug. 15, and I'm pretty sure mine's been eligible Jan. ever since. That's the standard 17 months, right?

Well I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that my iPhone got stolen 5 moths ago... haven't had one since... not really fair or my fault... but it's not AT&T's fault either.... Ughhhhh.

Mine's $100+ and they haven't pushed mine up a day, does it need to be 100 per person? I am using a corporate discount that saves me a bit, hope its not screwing me.

Well seeing as how it hasn't even been a year since the last launch that can't be it can it? Must be something new seeing how all these people are getting bumped up... I think they just want to get a bunch of brand new - $325 ETF contracts signed before an announcement of an upcoming veriPhone.

i know it was that way in the past but ive read several people on here saying theuve been bumped up and have never had a bill more than $100. So it must be something else

my account said july 14 when i checked last week. today is says i can upgrade at the full discount price.:D

Define "screwing you". If you're saving more per month over the course of a year than a full discount would save you, then I'd rather have the discount.

I purchased my 3GS 2 days after launch with early upgrade (paid 400$ +), I have a 5 line family plan with a 20% Employer fan discount, and my upgrade date has always been and remains 2/24/2011.

I am really unsure why it has not been pushed up. If it doesn't, I am going to be really really disappointed.

I think that like it or not, AT&T needs to be offering these annual upgrades for IPhone owners and early adopters. It would be a point of difference to the other carriers and keep customers loyal (not to mention under contract)

The plan we were on was the 3000 minutes plus data for both so our combined bill was around $240.

When they announced the $99 a month deal we switched to that, so that put us under $200 a month without taxes/fee's, or $202 with.

That puts us under the early eligibility thresh hold since my phone was $99 and her's was $89, I have no idea why they discounted her's $10 but they did and usually it needs to be $99 or higher.

I do sell a lot of AT&T though, meaning all my business customers are using AT&T DSL, or we've setup VOIP systems for them which uses AT&T T1's, etc so she made sure she reminded them of that several times and called our AT&T business rep assigned to us.

I really don't think that had anything to do with it, they just moved us up. We had planned on visiting the AT&T store tomorrow as recommended but snow don't need to.

Goto the store, they told us the managers have more flexibility including maybe having you pay the entire $599 but then discounting your bill the next 2-3 months to cover.

I just remembered something else, the day she called about the upgrade she also put us on autopay...before we were writing a check but now it drafts from our business account so that also is something that changed.

Negative ghost rider. I purchased on launch. 2/20/2011

My mom purchased the iPhone 3G during 2009 and she lost in in August 2009 (after the launch). When she went to purchase a new one, they sold her the iPhone 3GS. Her upgrade date before yesterday was August 2010.

It goes by a lot more factors than just when your purchased your phone.

I'm eligible now for an upgrade according to ATT website AND the *639# thing. However, when I go to the AT&T website it doesn't give me that little paragraph about being able to upgrade iPhone's like it does for so many other people (I've seen the screen shots). Wonder why my account doesn't say that?

My account has been saying this forever now:

Early upgrade not available until January 2011.

iPhones are a special case. Early upgrade at your date is for non-iPhones. iPhone early upgrade is totally different. I'm not eligible til 3/2011 but I called AT&T and went to see a manager and my account says I could buy an iPhone at the early upgrade price.

I've been stuck with 6/24/10 upgrade eligibility for quite a while now, which is apparently unheard of with all the recent bumps.

Bought my 3G in Sep/Oct 2008 (eligible 6/24/10), added a 3GS line at launch (eligible 2/22/11), and added another 3GS line in Dec 2009 (eligible 8/30/11)... Lame.

What's that number you call on your phone again to see when your eligible? I always forget it for some reason.
