The gold color is beautiful and it would be a shame to cover it - any recommendations on good clear cases? Looking for a clear case that provides decent level of drop protection. Not expecting Otterbox standard, but maybe the same protection as a Speck Candyshell - if that's even possible with a clear case haha

I know there are a few floating on Amazon (Spigen, Ringke Fusion, Case Mate's Naked Tough & Tough Air, etc.), but I'm wary about how protective they are. Has anyone had any personal experience with a clear case that actually protects? Any pics of your phones in clear cases would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks :D

I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid for my 5s. Actually have two of them and they protect your phone. I'm sure the ones for 6 will do the same. I dropped mine several times with the case on and not one scratch. One time it was at about 5ft after I had tripped over a crack and the phone went flying. But it bounced on the sides. There is is enough lay around that the case which allows it not to land on the screen.

here is a photo of mine with the Ultra Hybrid. I love the grip. It doesn't feel cheap. I get a lot of complements on it. When I get my 6s lol I will put one on it.

Power support air jacket. Best clear case on the market and it's not even close.

I would say either the Rearth ringke fusion or if you want a little more protection any of Tech21's cases are a good choice as well.

I bought this one as a temporary but I'm keeping it on, I love it. Easy to hold, as wide as the camera so that lump is taken care of. I keep it in this case inside a wallet, so that protects the screen

Cutouts are perfect. It won't take the wider 30 pin to lightning adapter, but the standard lightning plug works fine.
And I've dropped it 2 feet from stool to wood floor and it survived. But it's a very thin lip on the front, not hugely raised. And slips in and out of a loose pocket just fine.

I tried on the Case Mate Naked Tough today.

http://www.case-mate.com/iPhone-6-Plus-Cases/Case-Mate-iPhone-6-Plus-Naked-Tough-Cases.asp

I was surprised by the quality. The buttons are chrome and it is basically a bumper for the inner TPU layer and the hard plastic shell is clear. I am guessing it would scratch but it was a classy looking clear case. Many of the clear cases I have seen look cheap and also yellow over time. This probably wouldn't do that. Ultimately I decided to go with an Incipio NGP but this would be my choice for a clear case.

What i hate about new clear iphone cases is that they use TPU materials. I dont like the feel of that material so i bought this two peice snap in case from ebay. Feets good in my hands doesnt feel cheap at all.

Both my partner and I have the Caudabe Veil for our iPhones. She the gold and me the silver. I find that the frost Veil looks great on her gold phone because it slightly mutes the gold. This year's gold is a little bit more saturated than last year's. Only thing is this case is like paper thin which might not be for everyone. I've been using it on my past iPhones as well and have loved the thinness.

Here's a link to the Caudabe site for the case. I'll try to take some actual photos because the website photos don't really do this case justice. http://www.caudabe.com/collections/iphone-6-accessories/products/the-veil-ip6-frost

Got a spigen tpu case for my plus but it has started yellowing just a bit already. I have the silver so it's noticable. I guess for the gold it won't be.

Anyone have an idea for the above cases and yellowing?

As part of a 'give an honest review and you can keep the product' deal, I'm using a New Trent clear case on my gold 6. I like it. One thing I did do however is remove the 'gel/rubber' TouchID portion from the front part of the case as I was seeing reliability issues with it scanning my thumb print. Other than that no complaints.
