Can you recommend one? Thanks.
Private Internet Access is excellent and is in the price range mentioned. NordVPN is good as well, although their apps aren't quite as good as PIA, in my opinion.

If you shop around, you can find coupons for VPN service. I have 5 yer service with each of the aforementioned and it only costs me around $105 dollars for each, which is cheaper than the typical yearly price.

1. PIA - First recommendation A+
2. NordVPN - A- No kill switch with the iOS app
3. Express VPN - good apps and service. Overpriced. They don't offer anything original that PIA and NordVPN don't offer.
4. PureVPN - decent price but slower service compared to the others. They also don't offer a kill switch on the iOS app. Their Mac app can be confusing to new VPN users with a lot of unnecessary toggles to look over.

Wow. Thanks for the great info. I’ll check these out.

Just want to chip in, Express VPN is utterly terrible. I think they must pay for reviews or promotions, as if you just search for "Best VPN" you'll see dozens of sites claiming ExpressVPN is the best. They have a good UI, but it's clear where they put their resources. Their customer service is also a joke, ask anything and you just get a standard response - the amount of times I'd ask something, and include things like logs, OS info etc., and then the reply is just asking for this information... Very frustrating company. I used it for around 18 months, constant hang ups, weeks without a stable connection, barely usable in the evening due to speed, just utter garbage for the price you pay. So I just want to say, don't touch that ExpressVPN if you actually need one.

I now use Astrill, which is about the same price (There's often promotions), however it connects reliably, I get good speeds even on weekends, and I couldn't be happier. I actually rely on a VPN to maintain my sanity whilst living in Shanghai, so I'm very grateful Astrill lets me watch kitten videos on YouTube.

There are some free VPN apps on the App Store.
Don't go for Free VPN services, they are not reliable and you never know if their Log policy is honest or not

Hi I am looking for a good vpn service for my iPhone n mac. Which service is the best? Thanks!
To be honest your Mac would not require a VPN because iOS encryption and firewall is off the charts but still if you want one then ExpressVPN is the right pick

Been using PIA for years, no issues. But, thinking about Nord because of their physical location.. :)

I can’t speak for the other apps mentioned here but I use IPVanish since they don’t keep logs.

Another shout out for Nord VPN. Works very well on Mac and iOS. One thing to note though is that the killswitch on Mac doesn't actually kill system-wide internet access in the event of a disconnect. Rather, it's configurable to kill chosen applications instead. I'm not sure why this is, but I suspect it's a technical limitation at the moment.

I do agree Astrill is one of the best VPN ever with features and protocols no other VPN provider offers!

I'd go Nord or Express, but I have Eero Plus which includes encrypt.me free, which is fine (albeit limited in functionality) but I wouldn't pay for it.

I've been using Express VPN for 8 months with no issues at all. Easy to use and fast. I did look at NordVPN as well, I may give them a go after my subscription runs out.

All of you mentioned trusted VPN providers but not all work fast on iOS. I would like to use the trial option to see how they work though.

Try vyprvpn. I usually watch TV with them. Fast, stable, reliable, servers all over the world. Good iOS app. They also have a (limited) free service - to test it.

Let me look it up
PIA VPN, which I've been using on iOS and macOS for years. On iOS, you can use the OpenVPN client, which is free. PIA supplies OpenVPN config files that you can import directly to either OS. On the Mac, I use Viscosity for a client, and again the PIA-provided OpenVPN config files import directly. The PIA clients leave a bit to be desired.

Paid ProtonVPN is plenty fast for me on iOS. Don't know about the free option as I haven't used it.
