I think you may have had a bad one. I plugged in my phone last night with the case together to charge both. Case had about 50% charge left and phone had about 85% left. Anyways. It charged my phone first and then it fully charged my case. When I woke up both phone and case are at 100% charged. I didn't have to mess with it or push any buttons.

Before I bought it I read a lot of Amazon reviews and seems like out of the 82 reviews or so, around 5-10 were very bad. Those I think got the bad not working cases. Unfortunately you may have gotten a bad case too.

For me this case is great. Does exactly what it's supposed to Isn't very heavy at all (I don't even notice anymore. Guess I'm already used to it after one days use). And the battery life on the case is way more than mophie is offering for the 6 plus. Overall I've very happy with this purchase.

Now that you have had more time to use your case, how is the charging going? If you plug the phone in, will it still charge both the case and phone overnight? I am really tempted to give the case another try. I have a phone suit preordered, but it's $30 more so I might give the iBlason another try first since the phone suit isn't out yet.

Oh and another question. When you unplug the case from the charger, does it automatically start charging the phone? Mine would. I am just curious if that's how the phone works, or if that part could have been malfunctioning on my case as well.

Thanks!

Yeah I've fully charged the case and phone about three times now, all overnight. And yes it will charge the phone first until that's 100% charged and then the case will charge. When I wake up in the morning both phone and case are fully charged.

And yes when I unplug the case from the charger it will automatically start charging the iPhone. A bit annoying but I just turn the case off. Not a big deal.

I really like it. In fact I'm using the case daily. I tried to use another basic case for daily use and got bad battery anxiety lol. So now the I-blason is my daily case and love it.

Now I'm concerned My phone was at 35% charged and my battery case was at 100%. I charged my phone to 94% until the battery case crapped out on me. WTF? The battery case should have enough juice to charge my iPhone 6 plus from dead to full around 1.5 x. This wasn't even a full charge!

I'll recharge it tonight and see. If t happens again gonna email I-blason and see what's going on. There's other options out there

Yeah, I decided to cancel my preorder with phone suit and give the iBlason another try since it was cheaper. It came today. My phone was at 20% and I was only able to charge it to 85% before my case was out of power. I am going to try charging my case and phone tonight and see how it works tomorrow. The case might not have had a full charge out of the box.

Yeah the case doesn't have a full charge out the box. But for me, it was my third or fourth full charge and to have the case charge my from from 32% to 95% and then completely die is crazy.

If it keeps doing this I'm gonna return it and try the phone suit. I love the metallic blue of the phone suit.

Btw, you have the 6 plus correct?

I agree. That is crazy. Yes, I have the 6 plus. I charged overnight and this time the case did start charging after the phone hit 100, but the case isn't fully charged yet after 8 hours. Does your case charge so slow?

Wow that's crazy. My case is usually fully charged by 3-4 hours. Definitely not by 8 hours

For me I'm thinking of returning the I-blason. I mentioned my son dropped my phone with case about 2-3 feet into tile. But now there's a really annoying rattle inside the battery case. It's noticeable when you shake the case a little. Thought it would be more drop resistant than this. And the rattling is inside he case and very annoying.

Gonna return it to Amazon and hope the Phone Suit comes out soon. I don't want to do mophie bec the battery size isn't all that great. Plus i love the metallic blue on the PhoneSuit

I am returning mine again! Now it won't switch from charging the phone to charging the case on it's own. So frustrating. I was hoping my first case was just a bad one, but this one isn't working either. I canceled my Phone Suit order, but I am going to do another preorder. I am not going with Mophie either because of the battery size. I want a case that can at least provide 1 full charge.

Yeah I'm still torn. Haven't requested a return yet with Amazon for my iblason. That one time where it didn't fully charge my phone was a fluke. I charged the case overnight and it seems to hold a charge better.

But still considering PhoneSuit. When you get it can you post your impressions on it?

I came across this case on Amazon today. It's on sale for 50% off regular price at $40, has better aesthetics that most other battery cases and is rated at 3,500mAh. I'm returning the 3,100 mAh 1byOne case that I got originally and replacing it with this one. There's nothing wrong with the case that I'm returning - it's just that this one is of higher capacity and looks better.

By the way, the identical case under the Trianium S branding is selling for $80. It appears that a lot of these companies (1byOne, Trianium, Alpatronix, etc.) sell the same exact cases under their own brands. I just can't see myself spending $100-$120 on a brand name case, particularly when it's something that I won't be using on a daily basis.

UPDATE - 2/4/15: After spending a few days with the above-linked case, it's going back to Amazon. My main issue with the case is that it's somewhat difficult to remove the phone from it - I had to apply quite a bit of force to the bottom of the phone near the home button and push it up. Definitely not the type of treatment I'm willing to subject my nearly $800 device to. Also, the aesthetics of the case are a bit tough to swallow in real life and the build quality, while not horrible, could definitely be better, particularly with the top piece of the case that secures the phone in place not fitting flush with the body of the case itself. Lastly, it appears that the case is not MFi-certified. I may just bite the bullet and get the Mophie. Opinions?
