My lock button started to miss clicks, now its at the point where I can press it 6-7 times before it will light up the screen. The button itself is still nice and clicky though.

I have an appointment on Mon and I'm also taking along my daughters iPod Touch as its starting to show signs of a failing home button even though that is less than a year old as well.

Oh by the way, both have been incredibly well looked after, my iPhone 5 is as immaculate now as it was the day I took it out of the box for the first time.

Went in, had a 30 min wait even though I had a reservation, but in the end the guy clicked it a few times and went to get me a pristine white-box iPhone.

The wait wasn't great, but at least I have a brand new phone now and the button works!

On the iphone 5 the home button is fine for now but on the iphone 4 the button is less responsive...

My 4 button started not recognizing clicks and my new iPhone 5 button seems to be stuck or the spring mechanism that pushes the button out doesn't work properly. Like it is half sunken in.

I just checked my warranty status after getting my 'new' phone, and it says I'm covered until March 2014 even though I got it in Sept 2012 and haven't got any AppleCare on it.

Is it a glitch in the system that will update, or did they actually give me 6 months extension on my warranty?

Phone support also seems to be extended until June 2013.

Not with mine and I've had it since October 17th.

That said, a friend of mine who got his the first week or so did have a problem with the "power" button on top of the phone not working properly.

Mine has been fine though.

Would they change a black to a white?

My def needs changed - lock button takes about 7-8 clicks before it does anything

Apple never replaces *anything*. They toss it and give you a new phone and have since the 4.

Actually, in the iPhone 5 they can replace the battery, vibrate motor, screen, receiver, speaker assembly, home button and camera.

For the 4 and 4s it was rear case, camera, vibrate motor and battery.

The top sleep/awake/power button became less responsive after just two months of me owning the phone. I went in to the Apple Store and had it replaced at no charge.

Similar problem here.

Launch day iPhone 5, right side of Sleep/Wake button doesn't work. Left side works.

This is my third iPhone 5 from Apple now.

First one was due to the sleep/awake/power button at the top not being responsive and a dead pixel. That was replaced at no charge.

Second one replaced at no charge just a few days after getting the first replacement due to "bending" near the volume up button.

This is technically my fourth one because the one Apple gave me after the "bending" issue had a blotch of sort inside the screen and a scratch near the rear camera. That was replaced in-store that same day and hour. They gave me the phone and thought everything was okay until I turned the phone on lol.

I heard they use refurbished units for in-store replacements, maybe you got one of them?

I wouldn't be surprised if they have me a refurbished unit even when they claimed that its brand new.

This is the same Apple Store that had employees who said they were for having all phones locked and that unlocking should remain illegal. I had a little debate with them until the manager came in and agreed with her employees.

I left immediately after I got my working phone and said this will be my last time walking into that particular store.

That Apple Store is run by a bunch of idiots.

My first iPhone 5's power button stopped working after a couple months. I have a CLN device now.

Slightly off-topic but my home button doesn't seem to click. Has anyone got an iphone like this, did it give you any issues?
