MP3 players have really gone out of fashion.

The iPhone 6 does pretty much everything the iPod touch 5 does and more, so it is unlikely people will spend cash on a redundant item.

Looks like the 2014 refresh signaled the end.

lol iPod Touch isn't just an MP3 Player, its an iOS device, i don't know what you would consider that part of but id say its a mobile device, not just an mp3 player.

LOL an MP3 Player? you know what those are? those are the shuffles and nanos, or those old school players that you can only go forward or backwards or some of those cheap mp3 players that has the original iPod esque type display.

iPods are going to be what Businesses are going to use. Either for Retail, Inventory, Logistics, TradeShows, you name it.

Not every company even if they're a 150 million dollar company, is going to be just dish out what around $2,000 ($700 iPhone, around $400-700 for scanning and credit card sleeve, $400-??? for app license) per scanning/credit card device buying an off contract iPhone.

and its NOT in apples best interest for smaller companies to buy reused iPhones, its better if they buy New iPods. and its not in their best interest to have companies looking else where (Android or hell even windows) for their B2B app needs.

Consumer side its going to be weak, besides for people that can't afford a data plan.
