Unfortunately, this topic will never go away because there will always be thieves who try and rationalize what they do because they refuse to admit they are amoral losers.

I hope this topic never goes away, because initiating discussions is a great way to educate people. Even if they don’t agree with your point of view at the very least they have a better understanding of how others feel about someone taking things they normally need to pay for.

That link in the previous post is just funny and is a good example how twisted you can think about things to justify ones actions. For those that don’t read it, I have surmised that it is simply saying if the owner does not know you taken an item then it really is not stealing, or the thief feels you do not deserve to get paid for your product so they think it’s OK to take it with out paying.

The difference is that cracking DRM is obviously wrong while some people think that if you already have a bandwidth cap you should be able to use up to that on any device you want. I'm not for or against either side. I'm just pointing out the difference.

The reasoning you tried to use to differentiate the two concepts does the opposite of what you wanted it to. You claim that "you should be able to use up to that on any device you want" but that's the same argument against DRM! People crack DRM so they can watch their videos on any device they want.

The most interesting thing I learned in this thread is that there is a city named Rollingstone.

This forum and its members always discourage using cracked/hacked programs on Apple devices. Then appear to promote and freely discuss stealing services from a carrier. I am not saying you are stealing, I just find it hilarious when anyone condemns others about stealing in this forum.

Because of forum rule #5 on Things Not To: (carrier services can't be really defined w/ it but crack apps are more clear) https://macrumors.zendesk.com/hc/en-us#Warnings_and_Bannings
