A little advice: DON'T update to iOS 8 today. People would be more willing to spend a little extra on a jailbroken device since iOS 8 isn't jailbroken yet. At least this can help your 5S stand out more after today.

Moving this down in a new reply in case you missed it:

Listing Critique.....
1) Your photos suck. Give some detail photos that show any scratches or lack thereof
2) Wrap up your cable and charger...place them in the box
3) MORE photos!
4) Tell us more about the condition of the device...use more words
5) Show us a pic of the case you're including
6) Tell us a bit about yourself and why you are selling it
7) Copy and paste the feature listing from Apple's website

I know a lot of the information above can be assumed or is known by the average person, but you need to realize that what you are doing is not just selling an iPhone, but you are selling yourself. You need to talk the person reading your ad into buying from you instead of the other 2 dozen iPhones listed on CL today. Make your listing stand out from the rest. Make them feel like they know every detail about the phone and you. Make them feel like meeting you in a dark parking lot would be like meeting up with a fuzzy kitten in their mother's kitchen. (Yeah, I just made that up...I know it's weird but roll with it).

Anyway, I hope you get the idea.

Actually I was talking to the OP from the start, not you. Are you the OP? Of course not. Get off your high horse.

LOL...no high horse here. Just answered a question. You're the one with ruffled feathers.

sold mine on eBay last month for 64gb white/gold verizon with mophie case and screen protector for $715

^^Good advice^^

alll good advice... thanks all. will revise posting this evening and cross my fingers.

I'm hoping to get around 600 for my 64gb 5s since I still have a year and a half left of AppleCare plus. Also may sell my iPad mini

I'm in Boise right now.
Hilarious to watch people listing 16gb, locked to AT&T 5s iPhones for upwards of $500.

lol

Hope they want to keep the phone. That's about $150-$200 *more* than I know I would pay for such a device.
People will whatever knowing it will get bargained down. Some clown wants $300 for a note 2.

Sold my 64GB Gold 5S for $475 on eBay yesterday. I'm happy with that considering the screen was cracked and there were multiple scratches/dings from dropping it

Do you have good photos? Do you have a good description of its condition?

People who just post text like "iphone 5s 16gb on Verizon" with no photos or anything will never even get so much as an email from me.

Post some really good photos, point out any scratches or defects. Maybe lower your price by about $25, and make sure you bump it to the top at your first opportunity. (There is an option in Craigslist to do this)

Good luck!

it's an iPhone 5S 32GB AT&T - brand new looking, original box and cables... I listed it for $375. Not a single bite so far. Weird

I sold my 5 on ebay last February for $350. I basically was able to go buy the 5s with maybe $50 out of pocket. I made sure to list that Applecare was still active, new battery etc. You could try a Buy it Now on ebay and have a minimum? Yes, they will take a cut but it may sell. Check comps first.

Just make sure you list the applecare. I definitely think that gets people to buy!

what are unlocked iPhone 5 + 4's 16GB going for?

think i am best to trade in iPhone 4 at retailer but perhaps could do better on iPhone 5's by selling - any info on average sell price + best place to sell would be much appreciated

thx

Totally! Just need to check the date it expires. Still have about 70 bucks worth left on it
