see, that is perfectly proportioned.. I see so many people in the “show your Apple Watch thread“ with even smaller wrist sizes with the 45 and it just looks cringey.

I had the exact same experience. Got the 41mm home, opened it up and was like “oh no what have I done”. But whenever I looked in the mirror it seemed to be just right in terms of size. I had a sports loop which made it look even smaller, got a sports band like yours and it does make it look bigger due to the band getting bigger as it meets the watch

Yeah the mirror is always a good test. Another thing I considered is that I will be wearing it all day and using it for workouts and while I play guitar. I don’t want the watch to get in the way and bump around. I’ve also worn watches all my life since the 80s and rarely have I gone past 41mm for regular (circular) watches. So I am used to the size.

However, people who are accustomed to wearing big watches as a fashion accessory will prefer the 45mm.

I got 45mm SS, and 41mm aluminium for sleep tracking and exercise but it’s too small so ordered 45mm and gave the 41mm to the missus.

Not sure how do I know?

Use a tape measure like the ones used for tailoring (or the paper ones they give at Ikea for free), and wrap it around your wrist. Or use a long strip of paper and wrap it around the wrist, mark the circumference and then measure with a ruler.
