I had the Space Gray Series 2 model before, and I like the Silver better.

I have other bands, but I'm still loving the fog sport band that came with it.

I'm a 24 year old male looking to get a Series 2 Apple Watch. Honestly, the one that appeals to me the most is the 42mm aluminum silver with white sport band.

I've looked around and really only see women wearing this color scheme. I know it shouldn't matter...but any guys out there who wear this color scheme? Thanks.

Then that’s the one you should get. Be yourself!

Never look to others for how to be cool or their approval. You know in your gut what you want out of life and life is short. Do what makes you happy.

Dude here with a silver Apple Watch Sport and I have never once associated silver with girlie. I remember hearing the same conversations when the white iPhone was introduced and I asked the op “is that your car in the profile picture? It’s white”. He said yes. Then I asked why THAT wasn’t considered girlie while a white iPhone was and he couldn’t come up with a good answer.

I don’t know about you, but I’m me. I could rock a rose gold Apple Watch and not feel any less manly

Silver aluminium looks cheap. Get the black or upgrade to the stainless.

I wear a 42mm silver aluminum daily with all sorts of bands. Male working in the legal field/professional environment. Never had anything but compliments on my watch, not that I care what anyone else thinks about it. If that's the watch/band combo you like, by all means, get it and wear it proudly and unapologetically. You answered your own question when you said, "the one that appeals to me the most...."

It's never about what you wear, but how you wear it.

I've just got an AW3 in silver aluminium today - came with the fog silicone band - and I've put a black leather with it now, very smart in my opinion.
Following on from my post the other day, just received this band for my AW3 today, not exactly a Milanese loop in the Apple style but all metal nonetheless & and I think very smart.

For the price, even if it doesn't last long, good value (as long as it doesn't turn green!)

Grey stainless steel looks much more classy than aluminium. I've tried both and believe me, the mate finish of the aluminium doesn't feel right.

I'd say they all look like geeky technobits compared to even a medium-grade mechanical watch. I think the aluminum versions are actually a lot more "honest," not trying to dress up and be something they aren't.

There certainly are ways to make the AW look decent enough for most non-formal situations (with the right finish, band and correct size). Sure it'll never compete with a nice mechanical watch, but it's possible for it to not scream 'geek' like every other smartwatch on the market.

Why not? I think it's a really modern, fresh and futuristic look. Rocking the Aluminium S3 with White Case. ;) :apple:

Semi-off topic response to your pictures. I bought one of those cases to wear when I'm cycling. I periodically get into situations where I wind up stopping before I'm fully unclipped, and therefore hit the deck. I was worried about the Apple Watch so I bought one of those...I have sort of decided that I don't need the case, but the screen protector film that it came with (two, actually) has proven to be quite durable and not at all noticeable. I'm planning to install a Zagg glass screen protector when the S3 version is available, but the one that came with that case is quite good.

When series one came out I had the silver aluminum and wore it with the black sports band. It's not the watch case that is the issue but that flashy white plastic band.

The Fog colored sports band or the soft white band are much much better, go take a look in the apple store if you can.

This guy compares the original white sports band to the new soft white:

One nice, and quite cleverly executed, feature of the AW is the band changing system. You can go from, say, a loud Nike+ band to a very nice (and rather over-priced, but hey, it's Apple) $150 leather band with two easy pushes of the release buttons on the back. In spite of all the complaining here at MR, Apple still does a lot of good thinking.

We have another "shiny snob"! :D

Kinda hilarious considering plenty of expensive, luxury watches have matte finishes.

Some do have a matte titanium sport finish. They come with a nice crafted design too. But very few has the aluminium finish, which looks pale. Since Apple Watch case is pretty plain by nature, stainless steel just gives it more “life” to it.

I think smart watches have really taken a formal look depending how somebody wheres it. The Apple Watch can be taken from a sport band and all the way to a stainless steel link band which changes the look dramatically. Even Samsung's Gear S3 frontier watch is a fairly robust looking smart watch, which can also be customized.

Silver aluminum with dlc link band.
To me it doesn’t look/feel cheap.
The band gives a good weight to the watch.
I get a lot of compliments at work.
“You spent how much on that band?” Lol

The space black stainless link band is a piece of art. And ingenuity behind it with a removable links is so convenient. This is my regular Stainless band paired with the space black stainless. But my space black stainless link bracelet is my favorite.

Yeah, i think the same. I actually ordered the black case too, just for the screen protectors. And as a add-on, i can go black case in certain situations. Really liking the fact, that the fog band can be paired good with white or black (though i think white looks so much better with Fog). The Screen-Protector holds up well, even when submerging it to water. The only thing that bothers me a bit is, that you can feel the edges. But i think, it's actually better looking and more pristine, than putting a glass on. Hope the rugged armour will do the job instead of glass, in drop occasions. :D
