I have aluminum, and I think it looks just fine! In fact, I embraced the red dot with a custom leather band with red stitching, and red hands on the face!

I had the space gray series 0 since launch till I got the silver aluminum Nike + earlier this month and really like it. I tried it with all my old bands (mostly black or dark colors) and all look good but the lighter color bands didn’t seem to work well on my sg watch. I have come around and now like the silver over the space gray but like all others have said it’s user preference. I have a black iPhone and a silver watch with a desert camo skin on my AirPods. Worst case you can return it in 14 days or you could put a skin on the watch or a cover/case with a screen protector.

Silver aluminium looks cheap. Get the black or upgrade to the stainless.

That's a rather bleak insinuation, not a fact. And there is no "black" offered in the sport model, it's space gray. The only black that is offered is the space black stainless and regular stainless 316 L.

I wear silver aluminum Nike+ and think it provides a really nice, sporty look.

I like the look of my silver watch with the black Milanese loop. The look of the band with the black of the screen is great. I originally got silver with the blue band because it was the one that I could get on launch day. Now that I could choose between any colour, I still went silver. The black one just looks strange on me.

Male in a blue collar job chiming in - I have an aversion to the space grey aluminum finish due to experience with it on the MacBook - it doesn't hold up as well with age and it shows grime too easily.

I started off with an aluminum/white 38mm Nike+ which I wore pretty much all the time, but the band felt out of place to me in more formal settings. So, after a month or so I supplemented it with a regular stainless steel + Milanese loop. Honestly though, buying another band was all that would have been necessary but I found the steel model for a price I couldn't pass up on.
