Any Modern Buckle Progress? Charges,preparing for shipment?

Question for those of you who've received the Modern Buckle: Is the band one ply or two ply adhered together (like the Classic Buckle)?
Anyone else have their Modern Buckle move up in the queue today? I ordered one (I was beginning to wonder if Apple ever planned to sell the band by itself and gave in).
Last night I was given a 6/15-6/19 (2-3 weeks, but I question their math) window. Sometime between 7am and now, that window bumped up to 6/8-6/12 (1-2 weeks, it says).
Fascinating, really. I guess they finally got these buckles made. They've always had a ton of 38mm watch cases.

Happy for you! BUT THE CRAP! I got bumped back this morning another day (now it's 6/10 not 6/9) and I freakin preordered on 4/10! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT!
(Edit) Ok after my rant I checked my order again and it was changed again to 1-2 weeks (5/4-5/11). Still blows my mind. No point in preordering...

Yes, you're right. The pink Modern Buckle I ordered for my wife on May 6th got bumped up to available to ship in 1-2 weeks and delivers June 4-11. It originally had a July delivery at the time of order and was previously moved to delivers June 10-16.
It sounds like you were late in preordering, because the early birds have already received or are getting their Modern Buckles as we speak. "You snooze, you lose" is especially true when it comes to Apple, even if it's measured in the seconds. You're not alone though. I once shot myself in the foot by oversleeping in preordering one of my iPhones, resulting in a lengthly delay. Never again.

I actually stayed up until the preorders opened so I could sign up for the try ons. I didn't want to order one that didn't fit me. It really does sucks for those who are having band swapping problems. But I really didn't expect this delay. I don't think any of us did... I'm mainly impatient because I've been in the "June" shipping window up until yesterday and I have a ton of time sensitive plans that i've had to arrange to make sure someone can receive the darn thing.
I think that they really just didn't plan to make this one until last. Which is why they should have been very specific about it at preorder. Same with the leather loop and the ss and sb link watches.
More people would've just ordered the SS with a sport band and ordered these other bands separately.
Or, they would've waited, knowing that they had to wait a long time.
They should have launched the SS in sport (B or W), Milanese, or Classic. Because that's ALL they had.

I've already tried them all on a couple of times. I did it right after preorders.
I swear, I just got sick of waiting for them to EVENTUALLY put this band on their site to order separately. It strikes me odd that every one of those bands (except the SB Link, obviously) have ALWAYS been available to order, even if the ship times were long, but the Modern Buckle was never available.
That's just stupid. Why not put it out there and gauge demand, even if you have to tell people they may not have it for a few months? At least they'd know what they were getting into and that they were in the queue.
I totally agree. Its the whole being kept in the dark that's so upsetting. If they had been upfront about it, it would've made the whole process better all around. It really makes me not want to preorder and I'm sure most people would've loved to just stand in line anyways.
I bet she's excited! I like the pink, but it's a bit on the pale side for my already pale arms. LOL. If only I had PALER arms, it would look quite nice, though. Hahahaha.
I think it would look good on my daughter, because she got her dad's darker complexion. But... kid is gonna buy her own watch at this point because she's been so wishy washy.
My husband got the link (like you did, Jay) and my initial choice was the MB, but we both got other watches at launch because I knew this would be a cluster, and it has been.
I think my feedback would be that they should've been really specific about which models were good to go within 30 days of the preorder window. Not a guarantee that anyone would have it, just which were first in the production queue.
The way they rolled these out is a bit weird.

I think that whenever they come up with another generation of watches, if there's a preorder, people will take those shipping estimates VERY seriously. Apple have been bumping stuff up so quickly with iPhones over the years that we've all come to expect that most preorders will arrive on launch day or within that first week.
This was quite a literal launch.

That does look very nice. My wife is going to love hers, it's a surprise for her. Just moved up to 1 - 2 weeks, delivers by June 11.
Meanwhile my 42 SS BSB, ordered 2 weeks before my wife's watch, is still looking at the 2nd half of June for delivery.

Mine moved up twice in the last 24 hours. I ordered a soft pink modern buckle on April 27th. Was always stating July then went to 2-3 weeks (June 9-16) and then went to 1-2 weeks (June 1-9). I'm in Australia.
I think these are definitely moving faster. Let me know if yours moves again.
Will do. Would love for it to be here by the end of next week but hey I'm just happy it's no longer July!

It feels like one-ply, kind of thin, not very substantial at all. I'm a bit disappointed actually.
