Just wanted to give an update about my band swap I tried to initiate. When I called yesterday the representative set up a return for an exchange for the whole watch. She did upgrade it to the advanced return where they are sending the whole watch first and having me send mine back. BUT, after 30 minutes of telling her I needed it to be exchanged to a large. She is sending me a medium watch...again. I called to verify and all her notes state it is to swapped for a large, but that is not available to do and that I was misinformed and that they "apologize' but there is nothing that can be done. I have to just return the watch and go back in que for a large.

I couldn't accept that answer so I escalated to a supervisor which told me the same thing. He tried to make it sound like he was doing me a favor by swapping it out with a sport band (and refund me 200 difference) and to just repurchase the pink modern buckle when it becomes available. I have NEVER experienced such horrible customer service in my life. I am seriously at a loss of words to be told to get an exchange on the watch I have to go back into que after staying up all night on launch night and ordering and waiting since may 19 for this watch to be told I have to wait another month and a half. I'm thinking about returning the watch and calling it quits.

It's pretty clear that they have no extra Modern Buckle bands. If they did, they could be ordered separately. What sucks is that they won't offer you the ability to swap for a large even if it means you have to wait awhile to get it.

You could always buy a sport band to wear in the interim or something. How weird.
 
Geez... I feel like something is wrong with the order or something!

I ordered my small pink modern buckle at 1:30 on 4/10 with June availability and mine is still processing with no movement or date changes. I don't think anything is wrong at this point.

"Available to ship: 2-3 weeks

Earlier today it stated "Available to ship: July." Just thought I'd share
 
But... my 42mm SS BSB is listed as 5-7 weeks, when if you order now they say 4-6 weeks. So, I wouldn't worry about the inconsistencies.

Same here with the pink Modern Buckle. Guess my wife will be getting hers earlier than expected.
 
I've got my watch finally! It was just delivered a short while ago! Had to reset my watch during the set up process as there was no animation during the pairing process. All is good now though. Looks good and feels even better. This is a large and I'm on the smallest notch possible and it's perfectly snug! :D

Looks awesome! Thank god it fit! That sounds like a close call, but at least you get the least overlap possible at the smallest notch. My wrist is around 170mm, so the large being 160-180 should give me a lot of options. Did they do next day or 2nd day delivery? I'm sure it will be different for Australia and the US.

Absolutely! Next day delivery for me. I'm excited for everyone else to receive their brown modern buckles too now :D

... I have move out of my apt by June 1st and I'm hanging on till the last possible minute before i have to switch my address... But I'm losing hope here.

I changed my delivery address late last week when I knew I'd be at a different address this week. As long as it's still in Processing status it's easy to do, and no effect on your position in the queue.

Mine went to PFS Monday morning, was shipped later in the day on Monday (from California), and arrived in Indianapolis (2000 miles away) Tuesday afternoon via UPS. So once it starts to be prepared for shipment (aka dispatch in the UK, as I've learned this week :eek:), it's a fast process.

It's here! UPS just left. I now have to run out to print some x-rays for my friend the chiropractor. I've taken it out of the box, but that's all I've done so far, more later.... I'm so excited, I practically jumped the UPS guy.

I practically did, too! I had just pulled up in the driveway when he pulled up and started to walk by me toward my door. I jumped out and rushed to him, and started gushing like Winthrop did in the Music Man about his shiny gold thing (his trumpet) after the Wells Fargo Wagon brought it. I'm sure I sounded ridiculous! I told him it was like Christmas, asked him if he knew what it was (he guessed right), and thanked him maybe five times. They probably walk away from people like us and chuckle for at least five minutes!

Received mine yesterday, played with it some, but today was my first day wearing it out and about. After over 14 hours of use, and lots of playing with it off and on, it's at 37% battery life. Not bad! I charge my iPhone and iPad every night, so adding my watch to the routine's no big deal.

I've had a lot of fun discovering the little things today, like looking for the little dot above Mickey to know I have notifications or texts waiting, and how to read and then dismiss them, and how to view a little circular chart that shows the temp and forecast for each of the next 12 hours. I haven't read the manual at all, although I did watch the one video about changing the watch face and adding a few other items to it (battery meter, temp, and date), and that gave me a feel for how the controls all work.

My daughter sometimes complains about me pulling out my phone when we're at a restaurant, so today I waited until she glanced away and quickly read my messages, and she didn't notice. Success!

I also used "Hey, Siri!" to send a few short texts while I was in the car.

So far, it's wonderful!

Based on the advice of a friend who scratched his sport watch the first week, I've ordered a package of screen protectors (I prefer matte finish on my phone and ipad, so we'll see how matte works on the watch) via Amazon Prime that are due to arrive tomorrow. I know my glass is a harder finish, but I'd rather put a protector on for now until I get used to it being larger than my old watch. I've accidentally lightly bumped it a few times today and just don't want to take a chance.

I still love my lt pink MB band -- It was (well, maybe almost anyway) worth the wait.

My experience was about 24-36 hours. It went from PFS to Shipped in about 10 hours. The Shipped notice showed expected delivery the next day and I received the email at 3pm on 5/18. I looked at tracking but no info was available until the next morning. It was out for delivery at 7:30am and delivered around 3pm on 5/19.

I have now enjoyed one full day with my small pink modern buckle. It fits perfectly and I have a tiny wrist so watches are usually too loose on me. Two of my male co-workers are quite enamored with it. They think it's sleek and very handsome. It looks great, is very comfortable and I love it! I have found it to be pretty intuitive to use. No problems so far. It had about 75% battery when it arrived.

Just a note - Battery usage seemed higher when I used the butterfly watch face. I switched to a regular face in the afternoon because remaining battery was at 65%. It seemed to use the battery slightly more slowly after that. Maybe it was my imagination. Of course, I was looking at it more than I usually look at my watch since it's so beautiful and new. Battery was at 35% when I put it on the charger tonight.

WOW! Sorry you are going through this. I think the Modern Buckle is the best band out there (Certainly one of the most expensive). I think Apple may have underestimated its popularity - or the time it takes to make them properly. I still check daily to see when I can order. Not today again.......

I would just buy a sports band like others have suggested and wait to see if the MB becomes available soon. You can also see if anyone would want to swap with you? If Apple is really trying to get through all the preorders it would be tough to give someone else's order away. I know it sucks to wait... trust me I ordered mine on 4/10 as well and still in "processing" mode... If they had sent you the wrong size, I would definitely be pissed, but you did order the medium and the medium was shipped to you... It stinks that it doesn't fit you the way you'd hope, but waiting for the size you want to be available is probably the only thing we can all do in that situation. :(

Just got my shipping window and had to change my address since I'll be moved out by then. I ordered on 4/10 and am a little surprised I got pushed back so much... Anyone get their shipping window updated to a closer date recently after getting an actual shipping estimate? I'd hate for the watch to be delivered to my parents house next week or something like that...

All the Modern Buckle watches are at 2-3 weeks for shipping in the US Apple store today.

This is a change from yesterday. I go look each day because I want to order a band.

At this rate, I'm kinda tempted to order a MB watch and request a return for my SS WSB (today is the last day I can request it), then hope the MB arrives before I have to return the WSB.

The ONLY reason I'm thinking of doing this is that Apple are poised to launch in other countries and the MB is STILL not available for individual sale. If they don't put it up for sale soon, they may wait until after they've launched worldwide. Which would suck because I wanted the MB band in the first place. I didn't order it because the ship time was so long.

Bah.

Looks like I have the same shipping window as everyone who orders one today?! Why? Anyone think I would get pushed up? Should I change it back and wait until the last minute to change it since most of them are being shipped overnight... I have to be moved out by June 1st.
