Any news on NYC Apple store lines?

Just getting here now. Trains were all messed up. Wearing all black in a blue chair.
 
I don't mind waiting in line, but I need to get back to Penn Station by 10:30 so that I can get home to Queens to give my cat some ear drops that need to be administered every 12 hours.

Currently debating between the 14th st, Grand Central and 5th avenue stores. Still not sure which would be the best bet though. How early should I arrive? 6? 7? Or would arriving at 8 still be okay?

I want a space gray 64 GB by the way. I think the gold is gaudy and all around hideous.
 
I have a genuine question about lining up... Do people stay awake until tomorrow morning? What do they do for fun? Do they talk and share information about each other's lives? What happens if you have to use the toilet?

I can't imagine myself lining up for hours.. I'm too lazy.
 
So, how are the lines looking now? Which store looks better, 14th st or Grand Central? Heading out now and trying to decide on a destination!
 
At Grand Central. Got here at 5am. Line is outside bldg. about 300+ people in line. Maybe 200 in front of me.
 
Grand Central isn't horrible right now

So, I got here about an hour ago, and I really don't think there are that many people here! I'd be surprised if there are even 300 people in line right now, and the line has essentially doubled. I dunno, it's not that bad. The line was longer to wait for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt1 honestly.
 
Apple store employees just updated us. Gold sold out within first couple of people. Silver very limited. "Plenty" of space gray.

Yeah, I heard that! Hahaha. Whatever, it's the nicest one of them all anyway.

I wonder why Apple provided so few of even the silver though!
