After wearing one from day one I am going this week without to see how much I will miss it. So far it is kinda nice to hear my 6+ make those notification sounds.

It is early (6:20am) so lets see how the day will go!

Nah, there's a reason why I got it, so why stop using it for that very reason, i.e. stop getting notifications.

I just remarked to the wife yesterday that I'm so surprised at how much I like the AW, and how it handles the little things that make life easier. Its a luxury item to be sure, but its still helps :)

I am afraid you do not count as you just got yours! Looking for people who have worn for months now.

I was without mine for about two weeks, had stupidly left my charging cable behind while traveling and didn't feel like spending another 30 euro for a second one.

I actually really missed my AW and it was just great to start using it again when I got home. I had ghost pains whenever I needed to set a timer. And it surprised me how often I check the outside temperature when deciding what to wear for the day! Of course I can do those things directly with the phone but being able to have all that at a glance really does make things feel smoother.

Also I realized how much I've come to like the AW simply as a fashion accessory, I did miss it also in that sense.

Nah, when I want to be left alone I swipe up and tap airplane mode.... silent mode doesn't quite seem enough. :D

I got sick and was in the hospital for a week. Didn't wear my watch then. Didn't see the point. Strange thing was, when I came home o had a hard time getting used to it again. In some ways, it was like having a new watch.

I have worn mine all day every day from the moment I get out of bed until the moment I get back in bed (other than during showers) and I would never go without it. It's fantastic for notifications, texts, and calls, it's a great activity tracker when I'm on my bike. I also use it to control the Apple TV and arm/disarm our security system.

Another unforeseen benefit: I work from home, and Microsoft released a GREAT Outlook app for the Watch. It's not so much an email checker, but just an information screen telling you if you have any unread mail and what your next Outlook meeting is. If I leave my desk and am wandering around the house for some reason, I can quickly check when my next meeting is with a quick swipe up.

I've had the watch since week 1, sold my iPhone just over two weeks ago in anticipation of the 6s Plus launch... I really miss my Apple Watch, Friday can't get here soon enough!
I bought both a (Product) Red Watch strap and matching iPhone case, can't wait to rock them together!

My exact assessment - love it! Day 1 user

I'll try it today as I have a day off from work.

When I got it, I told myself that I'd wear it for a week straight and try a day without it to see if I'd miss it. I couldn't make myself do it. ;)

I may try going back to one of my mechanicals next week, too. We'll see what happens.

I left mine at home for a two week roadtrip and took my Rolex Sub instead.

If I'm honest, I didn't really miss it.

Well I am also wearing my Rolex today it has not seen my wrist in months. I have not tapped or swiped up or down on my Rolex yet so I must not miss the AW that much. I bought this 6+ because I enjoyed it and it sounds nice to hear notification again!

I'm at my house a lot (online classes; work from home) and, to be honest, I don't wear my watch then. I find that I just don't need it as I'm on my MacBook and have my iPhone right beside me. So, it sits on its stand, staring at me, looking so lonely.... :(

Now, If I'm going somewhere, my watch is almost always on my wrist. Unless, of course, I know I'm going somewhere or doing some type of work that could damage it. (Being an art student, I sometimes like to play with permanent paints, inks, etc.)

Honestly though, when I don't wear it I rarely notice that it's not on my wrist. I like the watch, don't get me wrong, but do I "need" it? Absolutely not.

Actually this test was done by one of the reviewers I believe even before the watch came out. His comments showed that the first day or so went OK but then he started wanting back more, and by Thursday he was "adjusting" the watch in its charger just to touch it.

Good luck.

I also prefer it for notifications, I knew that going in and have not been disappointed. The only drawback is an active Twitter feed buzzing my wrist every second, I just shut the sound to the notification off and that took care of that.

As I was writing my earlier post, I got a call from work and had to leave home for a bit (ended up turning around and coming home anyway).

I was wearing my Seiko auto when I left, but after getting texts and a voicemail along the way, I wanted my AW back. I suppose I lasted for about an hour.

Repeatedly taking my phone out of my pocket to see if I missed any messages bugged me more than I expected. Maybe it always bothered me, actually, and I didn't notice because I thought it was a necessary evil.
