Very satisfied with my 12.9.

I do wish the smart keyboard had a dedicated [Esc] key (I do a lot of coding/editing in vim over ssh on my iPad Pro), but that's more an issue with the accessory, not the iPad Pro itself.

Why did you go to the smaller device from the 12.9?
It wasn't a suitable laptop replacement OR iPad replacement for my personal use. I figured I could do anything I needed to do with my MacBook on it, which turned out to be true, but everything took longer and was less convenient. As a tablet, it was too big to conveniently bring to meetings and take notes on. Great media consumption device and I'm sure a great computer/tablet for some use patterns.

No, I'm not satisfied. The current screen on the 12.9 is a pixelated blurry mess with washed out colors and poor viewing angles, it is the worst tablet and no one should buy one until Apple upgrades the screen.

Oh wait, I thought this thread was about the Macbook Air.... nevermind.:p;)

As with the Macbook Air, only those users who are Superheroes with Ultravision will be able to notice the difference between the screens to the point where it affects a purchase decision. For those of us with merely human vision, the 12.9 screen as it currently is, is wonderful.

I am notoriously poor at differentiating between screens unless there is a big difference (1080 vs 1440 vs 4K).

That being said I hate the MacBook Air screen compared to every screen on any device I've used in the past 5 years. I'm not dissatisfied with the purchase because in every other regard it was exactly what I needed.

Nevertheless, my needs have changed and I am really looking forward to a retina MacBook Pro. I honestly feel Apple should be ashamed of that screen unless the 2015 model ends up being the last one, then I understand why they didn't upgrade it.

USB 3 more than makes up for screen. If I want a killer screen I look at a late 2015 iMac screen.

Understood. I have found it to be a great replacement for a laptop. I travel all the time for work and love not having to take my heavy Dellasorous with me on the plane. I have issues sometimes since I can't VPN into the network on my IPP but most of the time it's not an issue.
