Any other Sunrise browser fans out there?

I don't really remember, I uninstalled Glimmer Blocker after that post to see what would happen (because what better way to narrow something down to a specific app?) and the ad-downloads stopped. I figured I'd rather see an ad or two on the sites I visit than getting my Download-folder bloated. But if there's such a thing as "default settings" in Glimmer Blocker, that was what I was using since I did almost nothing to it.

Edit: I installed it again to see, and this is what the settings are:

And this appeared the second I went to a site with ads:

Well, I seem to have found what was causing it... When I disabled following rule the downloading of "ads.gif" stopped and everything seems to work fine now. If someone else runs in to the same problem here's (probably) the sollution:

I have visited several ad-heavy sites with no downloads and it also does a fairly good job determening which pop-ups are ads and which are needed for the site to work properly.
 
^^^Haha, it's really weird: I don't have this rule at all. In Ad-networks I have "Ignore rules that modify content" checked.
 
I know that there are some other swedes roaming around here so I thought I'd put this up:

It's a swedish localization I did, just unzip, put the folder in Sunrise.app -> Contents -> Resources and restart. You might have to open Localize (Help -> Localize...) as well and choose Swedish.
 
I particularly like the omnibar in sunrise. Glad others are enjoying the app as well.
 
Unfortunately I discovered it does not work with Ebay. It works fine, until you want to edit an auction of yourself or want to add an auction on Ebay. The same behaviour can be seen with Safari, which is why I used FireFox instead of Safari.

Wow, is that true? :eek: Sorry to hear that. :(
 
After few weeks of use sadly I find Sunrise unusable. It tends to stop loading pages and links randomly. Only quit and relaunch helps. I'm on Aurorafox now, as quick as Camino and I have my favorite FF add-ons back.
Shame, because Sunrise is the fastest I've used so far.
R.I.P. to the guy if it's true that he died in tsunami.
 
Thanks for the info. I never heard of this browser. I will try it out on my mac next time I am on it as even the G4 optimized Camino still takes an awful lot of memory.

Never heard of Aurorafox either. I am looking for a less memory-hungry browser. I will give this one a try too.

This is the best it's become my primary..

The next is Roccat, then Omniweb, then Camino. I also have webkit the supplants Safari
 
Is Aurorafox ok for Ebay?

I find many people preferring Camino, I tested it on my ibook G4 7450 and I could not find a difference in speed to Firefox 3! Somehow I must do something wrong or I am just not sensitive enough to notice small time differences :)

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know why Firefox, Safari, TenFourFox and Camino has a problem with a script on the following site? (interestingly Camino is even worse on this page than all the others, it does dublicate the column titles as it likes and anywere and multiple between some lines instead of just showing it once above the columns.

I was searching for a good G3 browser for a friend and my reading ended up with the G3 build of Camino, too, but after my experiences with the G4 Build I am not so looking forward to test it.
