I had the news app crash one time right after I updated but, it’s never happened since. Everything else works normally

Where are you seeing this? Doesn't really seem like that's some sort of an issue with this update.

No. I’ve had zero issues on 11.2.2 so far on my 8+

No trouble with my X on 11.2.2 here, and my Geekbench scores are great (slightly up but I know it varies). No change in battery either - in 4 hours off the charger with an hour of usage, I'm at 94% still. I've answered a few phone calls and texts, but not much else.
