Any reason to use a FS other than HFS+ if using VMWARE

I am installing a new set of drives, and am curious if there is any real benefit to using a format other than HFS+, if I am looking to run some Windows, Solaris, and Linux VMs via VMWare?

(Perhaps I'll need to post the Linux and Solaris question elsewhere)

If it's a virtual machine, there will be no difference.
