I don't know why but I've recently been looking at the watches. Maybe it's because of the health features..
But what puts me off is the battery, with a normal watch you don't worry about that but with an Apple Watch it's like a phone, charging all the time, is it really worth to have it?
Also you'll be wearing the same watch all the time.. with a normal one you can change..

No. I put my watch on the charger when I get in bed to watch the news, and put it back on when the news is over. Or if I forget, I put it on the charger in the morning when I get ready for work. If you get a bigger voltage charger to plug into, it will charge much faster, than the little one that used to come with the iPhone.

I charge my Apple Watch over night while sleeping, so I don't really "worry" about that. And you can change the look of the watch quite a bit by swapping out watch bands and using different watch faces.

The charging isn't a big deal. Just do it overnight. And you get some extra watch bands to mix things up. :)

Inching towards 6 years of wearing Apple Watches now. I wear it overnight, and I have been averaging 24-36 hours easily between charges. Longest I‘ve gone with a single charge was just shy of 48 hours by triggering the power reserve mode. Just put your Watch on the charger first thing you get up in the morning and it will last throughout the day just fine. Assuming that you have a charging routine for your iPhone already, doing the same with your Watch should not be a big deal. If you don’t see yourself wearing the Watch overnight, just leave it on the charger. You will be golden for the day ahead of you.

I will admit, I bought S1 when it first came out, and I couldn’t get used to the idea of wearing a watch all day, so I tried it out twice before returning it. I then tried out the S2 and loved Apple Watch’s since then. I still have my launch day S4, which is almost 3 years old, and granted the battery life isn’t as good as last year even, I still can get through the day before it die. I top up at night before bed since I track my sleep at night, and I too up first thing in the morning before work. On days I don’t work, my watch last for 24 hours before dying if I put it on low power mode. Im looking forward to upgrading my watch this year. Add in the changeable watch bands and you can customize it your liking.

No regrets at all. Also, I wear my watch almost the entire day. Pop it on the charger when I shower and put it back on when it's fully charged.

I always was against the Apple Watch. It’s just a gadget. Then, I waited and I saw the S5 Ceramic. I don’t know why but it was pairing nicely with my new iPhone 11 Pro, coming from a 6 S it was a big change. And having the the Watch was clearly the perfect companion. I now use it every single day for walking workouts, sleep tracking and checking quickly my next events.

Charging was a big no-no, I couldn’t understand why I had to charge it everyday. But as everybody mentioned earlier it’s just about routine. I charge it at 8pm, it’s fully charged at 10pm, I sleep with it at 10:30pm and when I wake up I have 85% left for the day.

So yeah absolutely no regrets.

The Series 6 is my 4th Apple Watch. Wear mine all the time, save for when I shower. I early charge mine while I'm in bed relaxing, or in the morning while getting around if I forget.

I use the 20 watt USB-C charger with Magsafe Duo and it charges pretty quickly.

I’d maybe wait until they announce the next watch this fall. Not sure what new features they’re considering, but we’re getting close and you’ve already gone this long without one.

I just don’t want you to have buyers remorse and wishing you would’ve waited.

No regrets.
Battery life is really good. I can go about 2 days before fully charging it. I just have the series 4 GPS only model. Everything works good for me.

No regrets here. I really don’t find charging to be a problem at all. Theres always some point in my day I can give it a full charge. The S6 charges a lot faster too making it even less of an issue.

Bought the Apple Watch on day 1 when it was released. Enjoyed initially then the phase came of annoying notifications and too much technology in my life. Went ahead and bought 2 Rolex watches and a 70th anniversary Omega seamaster. Apple Watch became too much technology when I was trying to limit it in my life.

No regrets here. I wear my watch 21 - 22 hours a day. I charge it just before bed each night. It doesn't take that long.

This is like the most correct reply.

A year ago I bought my first Apple Watch S3 and today own an S5 and I charge my Apple Watch in so little time. Like really, by the time I’m outta the shower I’m usually back to near 100%. Battery was never an issue for me not even on my S3. And I too wear my watch just as much. I sleep with it every night like clock work and make sure it’s on whenever I’m walking during the day. I have a car charger in the car just in case but self only need it; I’d say maybe once month, maybe.

How much did you pay for your Rolex Watch? Which one did you get?

I think sleep monitoring is the most useful feature of a smart watch or a health tracker.

I have a Garwin 45 and looked for a smart watch for my wife. Checked the Apple Watch SE and at the end went for Fitbit Versa3 owing to the known battery issue of Apple Watch.

some of the posters here suggested battery was not an issue provided that it was possible to charge the watch over night, however, it would make sleep monitoring not possible.

to put aside the battery issue, I like every bits of an Apple Watch SE in particular it is born to have best integration with iPhone. Whereas, Fitbit works like a charm but I am surprised Apple Health does not sync with the Fitbit App.

Next to iPhone it's my most used eco item. Great purchase for me. Can't say if it'll be something you 'love'.
One thing is certain, Apple has sold over 100 million of them. There are plenty of people liking their watch. So it's a good chance you will like yours.

On battery. I wear mine as I sleep, always. That's not a problem for me. Prior to a cup of coffee and a shower I put my S6 on the charger. That's been more than enough for 24 hours of use. I've skipped it a few times. Sometimes it will go through mid next day, sometimes I'll put it on the charger. IMHO charging during the day for an hour or so is the way to go, others may have different use cases.
