I've had bad luck with aftermarket cables. Even had some Apple certified ones burn out. For the life of me I have no idea why Apple doesn't just release some black cables. Anyway what's a good trusted black cable out there? I don't care about the cost as long as they are safe.

Here's a review I did a little bit back. I still use this cable daily and it still looks brand new.

CHOETECH Braided Nylon MFi Lightning Cable

Anker is top notch too.

Anker Powerline Cables from Amazon.

3ft = $10
6ft = $13
10ft = $14

I have Anker cables at home and at work. Very durable and reliable.

AmazonBasics Apple Certified Lightning to USB Cables.

3ft = $5.99
6ft = $7.99

They also sell 2-packs which are a great buy.

Not to change the subject, but a pair of black earbuds would look bad a** with the black iPhone 7!

This is what I use. The only potential hangup is the fact that the connector is rather bulky. No problem for me, but if you have a tight fitting case with little room around the lightening connector, it may be an issue.

I was counting down as I scrolled waiting for that comment.

We all said the same thing about the lightning cables and apple earbuds that have come since the inception of the iPhone 3G, and Apple has ignored... so expect them to continue to ignore this time around. Sad, they're so out of touch with their customers.

I use my Rokform cable everyday and have never had a problem!

I use both Monoprice and Amazon Basics black USB Lightning cables for both charging and data transfer. Haven't had any issues with them in the past year, and I have multiple Lightning devices being used constantly between iPhones and iPads in my house.

The only one I found to have a problem with was the 6" (not 6ft) Monoprice Lightning cable, where I couldn't transfer data through iTunes. But just copying files/pictures out from the phone to my computer, and also charging worked fine with the 6" cable.
