Any semi-hard transparent rubber iPhone 3G cases exist?

The Spec See-thru has come up a few times, and mentioned earlier in this thread. The problem with it is that it's a hard plastic, I think the OP wants something that's semi-soft.

Guess I took his saying "semi-hard" a different way. To me, a hard case is one that is very rigid and doesn't flex much. By him saying semi-hard, I assumed he's not wanting a case of that nature, but also not one that's as soft as an iSkin Solo or silicon case. I have 3 of the new See-Thru cases here on my desk, and they are by no means very rigid. I can hold the case in my hand and squeeze both sides till it almost touches, and it snaps back into shape as soon as I release it. The old See-Thru (2-piece slider design) that I have would shatter if i tried something simliar. These new See-Thru cases fit my definition of "semi-hard."

Yeah, the OP has been a little hard to figure out for many of us I think.

Interesting about the flexibleness of the See-Thru! I did not know it was that thin.

I was looking at that case at one point, but one thing that bothers me about the hard-plastic clear cases is that they scratch so easy. When I had a clear Power Support Air Jacket I would always be really worried about setting it down, and if I'm worrying about scratching the case, the case is just not worth it to me.

How is the See-Thru holding up after some use? Is the back getting scuffed up as I would expect?

I have been using the clear See-Thru (I purchased 2 clears and the smoke black when Speck had them for half off during the Halloween sale) for about 2 weeks now, and yes, it is showing some minor scratches. But no more so than my CandyShells that I have. I don't even really notice the scratches on the clear See-Thru unless I hold it at an angle in the light. Looking straight on I don't really see them. Maybe this is due to the fact that I have it on a white iPhone (which I got because they hide scratches so much better than the black iPhones). I imagine scratching might show up a little bit more on a See-Thru on a black iPhone. But all in all, I love the new See-Thru's. It's almost the protection of the CandyShells, but is about half as thick (imagine a CandyShell without the soft rubbery lining...that's what these are basically), and it shows off the natural beauty of the iPhone...or any skins you place underneath, which is what i do.

Good luck with the SeeThru's. I loved them too until the rubber lip started separating from the shell. It took about a month or less for each of my first two SeeThru's to break. I'm now trying out the Incipio NGP. Much softer than the SeeThru, but looks great on the phone. Probably won't scratch as much because of the softness. We'll see.

Already had it happen with 2 of the See Thrus, but all I've had to do is email Speck a picture of the defect, and they ship a new one out ASAP. It's irritating that the case can't hold up, but it also helps because by the time the case is showing some wear/scratches, the defect happens and I have a brand new shiny case!

Incipio NGP?
