Any thoughts on iPhone 8 home button ?

A tyrannosaurus rex chasing a gazelle is my preferred home button shape.
It won't look like anything if it's embedded under the display.
It wouldn't be always on if it's OLED, otherwise the display would suffer image retention. (Burn-in). The home button would be visible when the user activates the display or places their finger in a specific area to unlock the iPhone.
How is it any different knowing where your home button is in the dark now? Tapping anywhere on the display could launch the home button icon on the display or through raise to wake could also activate the home button due to the coprocessor.
what do you think about this concept ?

i don't want fingerprint sensing on the back of the phone.
i also want some way to easily pick up the phone and without looking at it intuitively be able to position my hand so that the phone is facing in the correct direction. currently with a recessed button area on 6/6s/7 you have this feedback.

This is the concept I would like to see. The other rumored concept that has been recently rumored has been a very similar design, except with a cut out at the top near the the camera.

I don't think will put TouchID on the back. I believe they won't go that route.

I think it will appear on screen like the swirling Siri logo that's already present in iOS 11 Beta
Iphone 7 is somewhat has already an embedded home button, not in the screen but outside, the 7 button does not click. The click sensation is artificial (light buzz sensation). with the 8, Apple is going to take the home button inside the screen. I think the circle of the home button will not be displaying images because it is reserved for home button and fps functions. Therefore the home button will be somewhat visible to the users. Maybe some one can explain this better than me.
Just FYI the Galaxy 8s cover up the navigation buttons for full screen video as well but if you press hard in the area you still go home....if Samsung can manage something like this I see no reason Apple can't
Incorrect, you can gently swipe bottom up to see the home button and function keys again....no need to hard press....
It will be the Same as the Samsung S8 and S8+. Virtual Button that are Context Sensitive and provide 3D Force Touch Haptic feedback. Thye Popup when you need them or when you glide your finder in the area. But when watching movies or Youtube video full screen they totally disapear thats why Apple can claim 5.8" Size Display but the reality will be more like 5.1" useable the 0.7" will be dominated by the Functions Home Button Bar.
So in the end the 5.5" 7 PLUS will have a larger useable display size.
The same way people with the S8 know, you just know by holding the phone you can hard press the bottom center of the phone to go home.

I believe the lock screen will be clean with a circular simulated home button on screen. Then first image is how it might appear in the lock screen. On the home screen I believe the iPhone dock with be similar to the iOS 11 iPad one. The last two are how it would look in both light colored and dark colored apps. I believe apple will add some more functions while the phone is unlocked, if not it would be a waste of space. We shall see!

I like how the rumors have pointed to 5.2" but you went to 5.1" for some reason. If you're going to respond with info from rumors, get it accurate.

That would look so incredibly terrible I can't even accurately describe it. That is FOR SIRI people. It will never be the home button.
