Just like all of the other threads have said, we will not know until the day it is released and someone has a chance to check it out.

It won't be 3gb for all models. Given that iphone 7 plus has 3gb, it will either be 3gb for 10.5" and 4gb for 12.9" or 4gb for all models.

If the 10.5" has 2gb, I'll be sending it back (but it's kind of been confirmed it hasn't based on the multitasking available).

The 12.9" wouldn't go down to 3gb from 4gb, that would be a step back for it.

Well, I just hope they put 4GB in the 10.5" model.
Or more. Goodness knows Firefox and Chrome on my laptop and desktop regularly use 6GB by themselves. I'm actually pretty amazed iOS can function fairly well on 2GB.

Well, I guess that is a different ballpark. I just want to quickly switch between apps without them being reloaded all the time...really annoying when you just want to jump into a game for a minute or so

Safari tab reload and occasional crashing. It doesn't occur as often on 2GB and it looks like iOS 10 Safari now makes use of disk caching so it's not as bad as before. Still would be nice if that could be cut down to a minimum.

The 9.7 does great with 2 gigs but 10.5 has a slightly larger display to run, so I'm assuming it'll be at least 3, definitely not 2 gigs

I wonder how angry people will be if they discovered the ipad pro 10.5 had 2 gb ram and the ipad pro 12.9 had 6 gb ram........until we see the teardown....no one really knows. Safe to say, its best to get the newest 12.9 at least it guarantees 4 gb ram for the time being.

It's 4GB by the looks of it although we won't know for sure until someone opens one up. What I'm wondering is if there is any difference performance wise between the 10.5" and the 12.9" iPad Pro? If they are both the same then all we are paying more cash for is the larger screen when buying the 12.9"

They do know it's 4gb. You don't have to teardown, just run a benchmark...

Fantastic! 4GB will nicely do it! Can't wait to get my hands on it and dump my 2012 iPad 3... :D

Except, benchmarks like Antutu and Geekbench both read the amount of RAM from the system and spit it out. A teardown is not necessary.

My dad is currently using the iPad 3 (my very old iPad) and it's still working but frustratingly slow, he will be getting my 1st get 12.9" iPad Pro when i upgrade to either the 12.9" or the 10.5" iPad Pro, I haven't decided which one to get yet have you?
